I immediatly understood that there wasn't much i could add that you wouldn't already know... so i adjusted to this position of learning from you... besides, here in Portugal, Sheryl is known, but there aren't all those great fans! i know only one, David, and i kept contact with him for a while, maybe cause i thought he was more on "my league" on this subject if you know what i mean... :) i'm not justifying for leaving in a country completely different as music is concerned, cause David does to, and i think of him as a great fan, but the only way i can really know what's going on around Sheryl is in here, with what you post (ed). Regarding the Forum i might add that once i tried to join but didn't really understand how it works, sorry! :P Well, i don't if i made my point cleat, but i really feel so little of a fan compared to yourselves, that i didn't really think i could add much to this group. I agree with Chris, Lisa was an excellent moderator and the list was in it's best shape when she was in charge. With that being said, perhaps we need to reevaluate what we want this list to be. If the current adminstritator doesn't feel they can contribute the amount of time that is necessary in order to have a steady flow of info on the list, maybe we could open it up and vote for a new adminstrator. Another suggestion would be for the current admistrator to delegate various responsibilities. For example, Lisa used to do the Sheryl Crew Newsletter. This was an abundance of info that listed everything from tour dates, TV performances or the latest gossip. Even if most of this information was retrieved from the web site or the fan forum, it would be beneficial to fans who do not have time to cruise the web. Whatever the solution, I think there needs to be some type of change with the list. The fact that we can all agree that we have the right to disagree. The list hasn't seen this much activity in awhile. Angela has her point of view, and thats her right. I just feel that we should not blame any one person for the inactivity of the list. Like i said yesterday, if more people would take an active part of posting and contributing to the list, then the burden would not be on just one person. Its easy to blame someone other than ourselves, but i've always felt that's the easy way out. I can do a few more things to make the list run smoother. One thing I meant to do and never got around to was the creation of a webpage for the rules and a basic F.A.Q. Part of it I think was that I saw that the activity had dwindled and that a lot of people weren't interested in posting. Being that I didn't have as much time as I used to for posting (even on the forum, I probalby post maybe 5x a week, which is way down from what I used to post), I accepted the status quo of the way things were going. One thing that I think "hurt" this list in a way, but still is overall a good thing was the newsletters and the forum. I guess I figured that the majority of the people here visited the official site regularly and had all the news. From now on though I will keep in mind that not everyone does...if I run across a piece of news or something interesting to be on TV I'll post it. If I miss something, hopefully one of you will see it and post it here. I'm open to suggestions...for example if someone wants a weekly Sheryl news update and would be willing to help with it...I can try to get one out like Lisa did. I'll try to fix things up and make it better if you guys do your part also. Don't be shy-if there's a song of Sheryl's you don't like, or you don't agree with her stance on Iraq, you can post it here. I won't allow people to bully, harrass or intimidate you. Opinions will be treated with respect... Remember, this list is for you guys. Besides the basic rules of no flaming, cursing, posting sexual fantasies, etc...common curtesy rules, anything goes. I also don't mind the occasional Off Topic, like say if someone wants to post about some other artists album, or a movie, that's ok, provided you put OT: in the subject line.
