As we get closer to that release in late March - many more things will be happening on Sheryl's official site: sherylcrow.com. For the site: 7 More Changes to the Main Page - it's different right now, have you seen it? 7 Addition of a new section on a weekly basis up to the album release (replacing the old sections). And for the newsletter: 7 Switching from a periodic to a weekly newsletter with video, music and images! The forum will remain through all of this, so if you can't log on at some time during the day - or the site 404 Errors, they're testing, check back later. If you haven't registered - you need to do so right away so you don't miss ANYTHING. If you're a regular member of the forum, or have a log-in name, you're good to go. The only thing I would suggest you do is make sure your email address is a good one. You don't want to miss out on any of this. I'll try to update the Crew on anything I find out. Gregg. Those 7's on the items in that message are supposed to be "bullets". Please ignore those 7's. I took them out in the "forwarded" part of that message (below). Whoops! I just happened to grab one because of its price and of course, me being such a big Beatle fan, it was also out of curiousity. Soo...why did I find myself and my mom gagging when it came to Sheryl's contribution, "Mother Nature's Son?" To be honest, I wish Sheryl had picked a different song to use cuz there's something about how John Lennon sang it that can't ever be reproduced. Ugh, I could at least thank her for not adding any country feel to it, or else I would have been screaming at the top of my lungs. Anyways, back to Pepperland I go. How disappointing though :( This is the second negative review I've read regarding Sheryl's contribution. I was hoping she would knock out a great version of this song. Anybody out there have anything good to say about Sheryl's version? Correction Dept: "Mother Nature's Son" was written and sung by Paul. He also played the guitars and drums. Interesting to note is that no other Beatle was involved in the writing or recording of this song. Not even John ;) Chris ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Jan 2002 02:09:16 -0500 From: "Mike Sarzo" Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] music awards Landon wrote: >Just had to ask who saw sheryl a=on the american music awards and thought >she looked absolutly gorgous (for guys HOT) if I saw her on the street >there is no way i would think she is edging forty...im 18 (just turned 18 >jan 3rd) and don't really find older but attractive but...all i can say is >wow. Online that listed the 15 Best Undressed (female) celebrities of 2001. While there were some women who had good outfits and good bodies, the only one I was genuinely excited to see was Sheryl, who came in at #15. I may be gay, but I can still pick 'em! As for Sheryl's age, when one of my roommates watched as I played "Fall From Grace" from Blockbuster, he asked me how old Sheryl was. When I told him she was 39, he was like "Get out!" He added a word I won't repeat on this list, but you get the idea that it was an expression of shock! On another note, congratulations and happy belated 18th birthday! Right now, the only song I can think of for you is Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen." Maybe you can sit back and imagine Sheryl singing it for you. :) Mike _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V5 #7 *******************************
