I did:) >DaveP Yes it was a great show. I really enjoyed seeing Stevie and Sheryl for the first time. Sheryl looked great, she was very playful, Stevie had more the professional act going. At one time during I Need To Know, Sheryl was playing airguitar along with the guitarist and she forgot she had to back Stevie up on the line "I Need To Know" and you just saw her thinking: "What do I have to do now? Oh, shit I have to sing" and then she ran up to the mike as quickly as possible. I really like Chicago, it's great here. We had lunch up on the Hancock Building today and enjoyed the amazing view. My friend made a decent recording of the show, we only miss about 10 minutes till the second encore. But it turned out really great. When we get it transferred, I may just weed it out on this group or something. I also went to the Chicago show, and thought it was incredible. I'm not a huge Stevie fan because I'm only 18. . . I actually went to the concert with my mom. I was really impressed with the fan's reaction to Sheryl though. At first, I heard someone say, "I guess I can sit through a Sheryl Crow song." But then, everyone around me was singing to EDIAWR (not dancing though, because I was stuck in the only section of the theater that decided to sit through the entire concert). During EDIAWR, Sheryl asked the percussion to "hit her", and there was a loud drum beat. Then she turned around from the crowd and pretended like it hurt her behind. It was funny. By the way, Stevie Nicks was incredible too. But she didn't sing "Landslide"! OMG, how amazing a show that Stevie and Sheryl brought to the Allstate Arena in Chicago. One thing that surprised me was the amount of younger people, I am 18 and I adore the ground those two women walk on. The crowd ranged from like 5 to 99, it was amazing. The woman behind me was talking about the younger fans and how she thought they were all probably there to see Sheryl, I had to correct her. I told her I adore and worship Sheryl Crow, but tonight I am here for Stevie. Both of them are the goddesses of Rock n Roll. I went to the concert expecting a great show and I left in total amazement. The people dressed like Stevie, the cars decorated to worship Stevie, the way everyone raved about Sheryl, and the amazing show of respect and appreciation towards Stevie. Oh, yeah and not to mention that Stevie and Sheryl both rocked...I personally had no voice after the show. Sheryl was having a great time and she did a great job...Bridgette I believe mentioned the "drum thing" and the running up to the mic late those were hilarious. She has picked up some of Stevie's moves too. It was great seeing them onstage together, you can tell them are great friends. I have got to give it up to Sheryl, she plays with Stevie and is a huge "small" part of the show, but she doesn't take anything away from Stevie, I respect her so much for that. Sheryl truly is a great person and a great musician, and seeing her with Stevie you can see she is also a great friend. I know this is a Sheryl board but I have to say if you have a chance to see Stevie with or without Sheryl GO SEE HER. She put on one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen, I know people say as people age they lose something. If Stevie has lost something I cannot imagine what she was like in her prime...personally I think she was so amazing last night she must still be in her prime. Even if you think you do not like Stevie, give her a chance you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! I road tripped to Chicago from Jefferson City, Missouri to see Stevie with Sheryl because I am starting college the week she comes to St. Louis and Kansas City...but now I am desperately trying to find away to make one of those shows. Stevie ROCKS!!!! To cap off the night, I will use a quote I overheard some lady say as she walked away from the Allstate Arena..."Stevie was great, she put on an amazing show. She rocked better than ever. And Sheryl Crow kicked ass too. It was the best show I have ever seen." Cheers Amanda =) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V4 #185 *********************************
