'cause I heard 'It's only love' by Heather Nova, in august last year. So I was wondering if there was any connection between these two songs and/or their authors. Jenny ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Mar 2001 07:45:02 -0500 From: "BoBBy H" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Crow angles for Richards tune By JANE STEVENSON -- Toronto Sun LOS ANGELES -- Female rocker Sheryl Crow said her next album, which she hopes to have out by the summer, may have a Keith Richards-penned track on it. "I was out riding around in a limo with him after the VH-1 awards," explained Crow. "And he played this song that he'd perhaps written for the last (Stones) record. They didn't use it. And I've been working on him ever since to let me record it." Richards, who's in New York City tonight to be a presenter at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Dinner, played on Crow's Live In Central Park album. Crow said she may also contribute an unreleased song to the Bridget Jones's Diary soundtrack and hopes to score a film. **** bobert@yahoo.com is no longer effective. First of all, I am a new member to the crew and I am sure I will enjoy sharing my thoughts on Sheryl with people who admire her just as much as I do. Since I am a new member I don't know if this subject has come up already, but if it hasn't I would like to inform my fellow members of a new album. It's a bluegrass album featuring instrumymental versions of Sheryl Crow songs. It's called "Pickin' On Sheryl Crow", but I don't know if it's any good. If anyone has heard this album I would like to know your feelings about it since I am still undecided on whether to buy it or not. The funniest little thing.... I was listening to My Fave Mistake on tape in the car with my mum and she turned round and said that sounds just like "that Carly Simon song"....I thought she was being mad but a few times recently my mum has come up with very interesting music tidbits. So I rushed off to Napster (evil evil I know!) and began to download You're so vein by Carly simon -- thinking (and you UKers will know waht I mean) of Pan's People dancing round to this on TOTP clips from the 70s. Anyway after like 20% I listened to the intro.....and SHOCK HORROR, it is VERY similar, its only like 15 secs but the guitar riffy thing is so similar in timeing and everything, and if you ignore sheryl's OHHHH singy bits they are pretty identical. I just thought it was pretty funny...and well done to my mum for spottong that one. Maybe we'll have a court battle!
