Shot last night... Notice we haven't seen Owen or read a mention of him since months! Is he maybe recording a movie abroad? Or did they really split up.. You know if this is the case (that they split up) this new album good be really good like The Globe Sessions. Cause that album was made post-Clapton. Just a theory... I mean this is Los Angeles too and here she's wearing a thick coat.. and a familiar pants..??? Brigitte ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2001 14:44:48 +0100 From: Brigitte Subject: [sheryl-crew] Question about Rock in Rio Did she really play American Girl there? I just listened to the version from Cape Gardieu (thanks to Gregg!!) and I must say I'm a bit disappointed. I first became a Tom Petty fan and then a Sheryl Crow fan... and her version just doesn't rock, she seems to sing too low or something or too slow i don't know. I was hoping the Rock In Rio version sounded better?? I can always tell when it's her in a picture. I think she looks pretty good anyway. <> Interscope can kiss my ass. They suck at supporting their artists. She had much more freedom when A&M was independant. Now this corporate crap is ruining artistic freedom. My sister, who is a big no doubt fan said that No Doubt was actually told by interscope reps to make their album appeal to teenies more. They didn't listen but what gives them that right? I hope her contract expires soon and she can sign with someone else..if they aren't all forced into becoming one giant conglomorate. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2001 12:23:31 -0500 From: "Mike Sarzo" Subject: [sheryl-crew] New list member Hey folks, My name is Mike and I just joined this list today. I've been a Sheryl Crow fan since about 1998 when I first heard "My Favorite Mistake," though I liked "A Change" and some other songs from _Sheryl Crow_. When I saw that Sheryl started to collaborate with Stevie Nicks (of whom I could be considered an obsessed fan), I really started to get more interested in Sheryl's music, to the point where I now look forward to Sheryl's appearances nearly as breathlessly as I do Stevie's. I can't wait to hear both new albums this year and I'd love to see both on tour! Anyway, that's me so far. Look forward to reading stuff on this list! His son died (fell of the balcony or out of the window) while he was staying at his ex-wife's. I think they dated for about 2 years. But that's just what I know. I don't know if anybody else knows something different. B. ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V4 #57 ********************************
