So, let us know about the Tshirts, and I hope that the birthday idea will be a success. You're great! We've done this on the FTE and jewel lists. The process goes like this: - - someone agress to be in charge - - various people submit designs - - designs are put on a web page and voted upon - - we pick a design - - people submit money to cover costs - - t-shirts printed and mailed - - any leftover money goes to charity * [ * this is because it's better to send $15 if the t-shirt costs $14.47; it usually works out in the wash. ] Since people on this list are located all over the world, this has to be a consideration. It's probably easiest to print them in the US or Canada. Canada is probably cheaper because of the sad state of the Canada dollar (US$1 = C$1.50). The two issues are: dealing with foreign currency and shipping. Since the t-shirt is valued at around $10, there won't likely have to be any duties/taxes. And I mentioned some of the ways to send money previously. Maybe Lisa is the best person to ask about a logo or something since she does run this wonderful mailing list? Anyways if anyone has any ideas just mail them to me on sherylcrew@aol.com and I'll post them up on the web and see which people like, sound ok? bye Tom ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2001 05:36:09 -0800 (PST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Fiona?= Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl Crew t-shirt I don't think so, all we need is a deadline for everyone who wants one to send an email to whoever it was whose friend could do it, then she finds out the cost and divides it by all the people, checks they still want to do it, waits for cheques or cash, then asks the friend to do it. Mind you, we need someone to design it...and also that person would have to mail them all out. Well, if she wants to do it, then she's very kind. It's in Articles section and there are complete and divided versions. Also I reuploaded the audio version of the older interview from radio broadcast which, some might have noticed, have been accidentally deleted for some time now. Any help would be appreciated for telling me missing words that I could not hear out. Think about it crash and burn will mean a totally different thing to what Sheryl had in mind when she wrote it.
