Crew: Last weekend was truly an experience of a lifetime! Talk about answered prayer! It couldn't have been any better (well maybe some personal time with SHERYL, would have been) I want to THANK Gregg for organizing the get together before the show. Meeting the Crew and Forum fans was the perfect start to the evening. Bean, Gregg, Miscreation, Ashley, Tom, Peggy, yoffee, Stephanie, Christie and especially Anne are all really great people, with a common interest SHERYL.! I know I missed some names and I apologize for that. As soon as Angela downloads the disc for me i'll try to get the group picture to you all. The concert was fantastic, our seats were right behind Sheryl's parents, so Sheryl was looking at us all night. The girls said the opening band was pretty good, me I don't know all I remember is thinking (I hope they finish soon because then its SHERYL) At the Gala, I got to talk with Sheryl's parents and took a picture with them. THEY ARE REALLY NEAT , SO I CAN SEE WHERE SHERYL GETS IT FROM. When it was our turn to get our picture with Sheryl, I asked her to autograph the guitar and she said "Sure but lets do the photo first." when she signed the guitar she asked what would I like on it. I don't know what it was like for the rest of them, but I can tell you for me when I talked with Sheryl there was no one else in that room except for Sheryl and I. I felt sorry for Sheryl when the session was over, because they pushed her out like the New York subway. The young lady in front of me gave her a bouquet, and it looked like Sheryl wanted to stop and say something but they ( her security?) wouldn't let her. She took the flowers I gave her as she passed by and was clutching both sets as she left the building! It was an AWESOME experience! Well worth the drive! Pictures? Hey members who went, Are we going to see pictures? I don't mind volunteering to scan the pictures for anyone who doesn't have a scanner and post them on my site for everyone to see. Here's something that's off topic: My mother and I were watching the Tina Turner concert on tv last nite and loved how the audience looked like they were having a lot of fun. Then we noticed it was filmed in London, and started asking ourselves why does it seem like American audiences are like jerks in some way. We came to one possible conclusion: Maybe alcoholic beverages aren't served at concerts in Europe. Soo...that's my question, are they? I have added a few pics of the benefit concert. I also have added a audio clip of Leaving Las Vegas that she performed so well. Let me know if any of you have any problems, the site hasn't really been tested yet. I'm still new at this. Sheryl put on a great performance, she seemed really comfortable on stage. She was comical up there, she made us all laugh. The reception was really great, there was plenty of dessert and drinks. But most of all I found everyone to be really nice. As far as meeting Sheryl I didn't get to. I was too nervous to go up there at first, and when I finally got my nerve up it was too late. They were rushing her out and down the hall. It was nice meeting some of you guys, I wish I could have met all of you. I will try to post this on the forum. You must think that here we can buy alcoholic drinks when you are 18 and if you buy them in a supermarket nobody asks you what4s your age.But I think that in the big concerts, such as Tina Turner4s one you just can buy beer, before 12pm and you are not allowed to bring bottles in the concert area. But I think that in this kind of concerts people don4t want to get drunk, I wouldn4t be so stupid to do this in a Sheryl concert!!! Keep rocking!!! gemma _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. Jen ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Dec 2000 00:04:19 EST From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] BillBoard Music Awards Just a quick note since I saw it...Sheryl presented the award for top country album or artist (sorry I wasn't paying much attention to the category). Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, Tim Mcgraw and someone else were nominated. Sheryl said a little intro about the category, and she dressed the part, she had a big cowboy hat on (dk brown, black?) sleeveless light purple top and I didnt catch the pants. They had the award announcement in these giant fortune cookies (I love fortune cookies, hah), and she broke hers very neatly..compared to some others. Nick Carter (barfstreet boys) broke his over his brother's head, hah. Sheryl got an excited look and announced it was the Chicks and she hugged them each and then the little usher woman ushered her away from the podium. The showed her a little throughout the show. She looked a little uncomfortable when Kathy Griffin made a crack about Whitney Houston, I don't think Sheryl is the gossipy type. I don't like Kathy Griffin, but she did diss some of the little teenies so that was cool. She was a little too raunchy for kids though......that part w/ the N'sync guy saying his rash didn't go away (after being w/ her) was just disgusting. - ---------------------------------------------------- Join Care2.com's Race for the Rain Forest!
