THAT SHOW WAS AWESOME! Sheryl rocked the house from the first note to the last. Although the show was not sold out, everyone had a blast epsecially us Crew-Members. I'm sure you wanna know what song she opened up with - A Change (obviously!). She did all the big hits (including Run Baby Run which she hadn't performed live in quite some time). Sheryl also rocked out with Sweet Child O Mine and Tom Petty's American Girl (that one she did during the second encore). She saved Home for the very end. Sheryl's hair was blonde and absolutely beautiful. During the first three numbers (Change, MFM, and ABD) she had on a big orange coat (I think the same one she wore at the Democrat Fund-Raiser three months ago). Right before she did LLV she quickly took the coat off. She had a black sleeveless shirt with a silver dragon design. I had never seen her look better. Her voice (which is most important) was absolutely on target. Sheryl knew this gig was special. Her family was in attendance (they were sitting in the front row; I was in the second row). Even her little nephew Brandon was there. Guys, this was a night I'll never forget. I just wish you were there. yoffe3@aol.com (M Yoffe) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 3 Dec 2000 22:08:36 -0500 From: "Christina Clark" Subject: [sheryl-crew] We had a ball! Hey Crew! I'm back from Missouri! What a GREAT time we had! We wish ya'll could've been there. I now talk with a southern drawl. hehe. Sheryl was fantastic as Rai......errr, I mean, as Mitchell has said! Her voice was bang on, and the screw ups were sooooo funny!!! Ya'll are gonna hear some things being said about Tim Smith....IGNORE THEM!!!!! People are on crack....or some kinda hallucinogen, they're seeing things that AREN'T THERE! Since the forum is not working, I am going to write my story while it's fresh in my mind. But I'm not going say everything or it would be too long. Kennett was fun, but Sheryl has really I REPEAT REALLY ugly clothes...haha, they must've been given to her, I pray she didn't wear some of those! I bought a Globe Sessions mug, and the proceeds went to charity which is great. I also painted my thumb nail with Sheryl's Metallic Grey nailpolish from Club Monaco. I really like it. But I didn't buy it. I would feel like a huge freak buying Sheryl's used make-up. The town of Kennett makes me feel really sad cause it has been gutted by Wall-Mart, which I shopped at hehe. And we found out that Sheryl....LIKES to shop at!!!!! A LOT! HAHA. tsk tsk tsk. The show last night was fantastic, she was so on the ball, her drummer was the drummer from the SNL band. He was great for his second gig with the band! The rest of the band were fantastic as usual, they really have their sh*& together, Sheryl has done a really good job surrounding herself with some really fantastic artists. They were having a lot of fun lastnight, Lorenza was laughing at me cause I was making weird faces at some girl screaming in my ear. Tim was really getting into it, he had his eyes closed for at least half of every song...maybe he was just tired and was sleeping HAHA. I'm sure he knows the songs well enough he could sleep! The after party was a wing n' ding...not really. Some found it disappointing, which it was. But that is NOT what I went for, all I really cared about was the show, and boy did I get what I wanted! Dancing right in front of the stage under Sheryl was great! Although she doesn't make facial expressions at you, she would just stare at me and then look away, a very blank stare, it was creepy at times; I would look away. But everyone else was full of faces and smiles and laughter it was great! Sheryl was so in her element, she was very very playful, almost too much so at times! ALMOST! not quite though! She was indeed wearing her red coat/robe kinda thing that she wore to the Democratic fundraiser, and dark green velvet pants and a black tank top with a red sparkly dragon on it. She lookes fantastic, her hair is very blond and looks great! At the party she was wearing a blazer over top, that woman really likes her blazers. haha. My flight home was crazy, but...ask Gregg, I was put in FIRST CLASS!!! Whoa, it was great, it was 11 business men over 35 and me. I stuck out like a sore thumb, passengers were staring at me strange when they got on. I was in a pale purple turtleneck and a purple ski jacket and jeans, the men were in business atire and on computers! I was listening to Central Park Live on my walkman as loud as I could! I am back at home now, wishing I had luggage.....YES! My luggage is in Buffalo, I am in Toronto. One of the disadvantages to being bumped all over the place when flying. I also wish I had Gregg's dog here with me...Spike, what a CUUUTTTEEE dog! MY GOD! He's the smartest Shih Tzu you will ever see! He slept with me all night right in my arms. Although he does have issues with weiner cloths...serious issues. Ok, that's all I wanna write for now! I forgot to say this..the most important thing of all..almost: I got the chance to briefly speak with Sheryl and I asked her this question: "Sheryl, I was just wondering if you got the birthday book we sent you, a lot of us have no idea whether you got it or not" She grabbed by hand and said "YES!!! I GOT IT! I love it soo much, really thank you so much! Tell everyone THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!" It was soo genuine, she really really loved it. She looked me right in the eye while telling me that, it was really sweet. So to everyone who participated, there you go! Good work! Damn that is very weird, and kind of disturbing ;) Lol you read all these comments she makes about it and then she goes in and shops at it? Well, you can blame the people who work there, but the corporation sucks anyway. I still hate Wal-Mart. Thanks for sharing everyone, it sounds like it was a lot of fun. :) - ---------------------------------------------------- Join Care2.com's Race for the Rain Forest!
