Crew: I taped Sheryl singing the National Anthem and she really seemed nervous , but recovered well. That to me is what makes her so great, she can almost seem human (vulnerable) and then has enough professionalism to make it a great finish! her holding those high notes on free and brave was just marvelous. On the Breast Cancer concert, She just seemed to bask in her element and I hope everyone called the 800 number to help them out. Thanks Gregg for setting up the rondvous and I know it is going to be great meeting the Crew! Also the ticket lady Said Sheryl would probably sign her guitar for me , Now if she would only play it alittle (DREAMS) Here's to the CREW DaveP PS if you haven't checked Lisa's site lately she really has it looking Great and the Pics -- Va Va Voom! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 30 Oct 2000 16:20:07 +0100 From: Brigitte and/or Michael Subject: [sheryl-crew] Re: More Glamour Awards pictures Thanks Chris, for posting those pictures. The second one is reallly sexy. Great lighting (with the shade in the back), the person who took those pics looks very professional (by his name too: stardustphotos) , only not so professional for selling them at such a high price. This is a first for a very long time! At least someone in this country thought a Sheryl track was worth using, even if it was just for an Advert! >> It's been a month or two since i first heard the song in the commercial here in france... and to my mind, it's one of the greatest things publicist do, go sheryl i wanna hear more of your songs in adverts!!!!!!!! you rock :) when i saw it i was like a child who was given a toy, i was screaming in the house: that's sheryl ! that's sheryl !!!! and i basically talked about it for the half next hour LOL too bad sheryl wasn't one of the girls in the ad though..... see ya later laurence ===== http://www.sherylcrow.fr.fm Sometimes when it's quiet, i'm an angel in white . . . Crow's ties to Carnahan run deep: Her father, Wendell Crow, attended law school with Carnahan at the University Of Missouri-Columbia, and Crow herself had appeared at some fundraisers this fall in Carnahan's campaign for the U.S. Senate against Republican incumbent John Ashcroft. Crow's concert will take place Friday (November 3) at the Pageant Club in University City, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. She plans to invite other musicians, but no details on guests are firm yet. Crow certainly has clout, however: Her 1999 concert in New York City's Central Park featured performances by Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and the Dixie Chicks. Proceeds from the Carnahan memorial show will go to the Missouri Children's Trust Fund. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Messenger - Talk while you surf! There was only 1 bid in at that time! Sheryl did look SHARP especially in the second one! I thought about bidding on one at least, but my friend said didn't you just print them out? So why bid on it you have it. In fact I'm looking at her now and if God created angels that's what they would look like. At first I was like what!?! how do we write a paper on why someone is a nice person if we don't know them.....then I thought SHERYL. I talked about her support of the land-mine campaign, her doing the Women Rock! Breast Cancer Awareness show, and how she is going to do two FREE (she won't get anything from them) concerts here in Missouri soon; the Carnahan tribute and the SEMS/Kennent Center benefit. I know I am bias but I think Sheryl truly is one of the neatest and nicest people in the music industry today.
