It was unbelieveable. She played an acoustic set with Tim, just the two of them on guitars. Highlights of her set were Leaving Las Vegas that had a little section of Shawn Mullins' "Lullabye" in it, and of course the Tom Petty cover of American Girl. Neil Young was awesome too if anyone cares. The only dissapointment of the show was the fact that Neil and Sheryl didn't do any sort of duet which I was really hoping for. I have so much respect for Sheryl Crow because of the fact that she can play with people like Neil Young, who are respected legends, and get respect from both the fellow musicians and the fans. I think a lot of Neil Young fans left that place Sheryl Crow fans that night. I understand your posession, it's just that we haven't heard any new Sheryl stuff for a long time. I agree about Johnny Cash, he doesn't really make country, just a kind of Rock 'n Roll country. I loved Unchained (which has Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers as a backup band) but I didn't like "American Recordings" just Johnny and an acoustic guitar won't do it for me. Cash has such a strong voice he need something more to back him up. You can bearly hear the guitar when his voice is at full strength. I guess we will just have to wait till Oct. 17. I'm doing a paper that has to do with Madonna and I need a quote from someone--anyone about how you either have respect for her or something. Respect or highly regarded are the KEY words here. Hmm, I don't know his own songs are very rocky but the stuff he writes for Celine..hmmm. >> Goldman is a talented singer songwriter... for sure. yet you're right, his own songs are better than the songs he writes for other artists (i.e celine dion, but also patricia kaas). I don't mean I don't like those songs, but I tend to prefer his own too :) If sheryl agreed to sing with him, I would definately would like to hear a song like 1,2,3 or quand la musique est bonne. I find it incredible that you know his songs brigitte by the way... I didn't know he was "famous" out of france >Oh and a big thank you to whoever posted the links to Sheryl's pics >:)))) She seems soooo great!!! << That would be me, but don't thank me, but the person who posted them in the newsgroup (alt.music.sheryl-crow) >> Oh i'll try to have a look in this newsgroup some day... who's in there too? (I have one of her french albums and that sounded ok , I liked Le Ballet though, did he wrote that, but I heard some of his songs in france on the radio and in the supermarket and first I wouldn't believe it was him. Cause it sounded so much rockier..) Brigitte ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V3 #275 *********************************
