This is is a special version ('cause there's Sheryl of course) but also because this version has both italian/english lyrics . >> Thinking about this.... Wouldn't it have been great if Sheryl had sung it in Italian? After all, she's already sang an opera song in Italian with Pavarotti :) Maybe it's because I'm not English, but I do regret that Sheryl doesn't try to sing a few songs in other languages.... lol My dream would be to hear her sing in French, even if it's not a complete song (with JJG i.e., don't you think JC?) I know I can wait centuries before she does that, but who knows... maybe someday ;-) (grin) Oh and a big thank you to whoever posted the links to Sheryl's pics :)))) She seems soooo great!!! Pick me!!" and scare them into believing the clothes are talking to them. *When an announcement comes over the loudspeaker, assume the fetal position and scream, "No, no! It's those voices again!" *Go to an empty checkout stand and try to check people out. *Drag a lounge chair on display over to the magazines and relax. If the store has a food court, buy a soft drink; explain that you don't get out much, and ask if they can put a little umbrella in it. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Sep 2000 00:46:47 -0700 From: "Gregg Dempsey" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl @ Stevie Nicks and Friends, Phoenix, Arizona I just wanted to let you all know that I drove from Las Vegas to Phoenix to see Stevie Nicks and Friends because "you know who" was also in it. Sender: owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org Precedence: bulk First, you had to be there. This show was fantastic. Stevie's voice sounded great. Stevie looked great and was genuinely happy to be there. Sheryl showed up about 4 songs into the show. Stevie introduced her as her great friend and said about 7 of the songs on her soon-to-be released CD were produced by Sheryl. She said she was so impressed with Sheryl and she was ''so smart''. Sheryl started her set with Everyday is a Winding Road. Remember that part in the Central Park show where she sings ''1-2-Shake Your Ass'' - Sheryl apparently has a new talent. She went over to the crowd on both sides and demonstrated a butt jiggle that had the crowd - um - the guys at least, crowing, no pun intended! It gets better, stay with me. For Sheryl's second number she sang My Favorite Mistake. Sheryl sang The Difficult Kind with Stevie singing the chorus like Sarah did in the Central Park show. The mixing of their voices was quite different from when Sheryl sang with Sarah or even her sister Kathy if you've ever heard her with Sheryl. Pretty good. No new songs from Sheryl. She wore black and looked radiant - that's the best word I can think of. She seemed very happy to be there and she had fun. Stevie also had Don Henley on and later Chris Isaak. Chris Isaak wore a red sequined suit. When he sang Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing, Sheryl came on and sang the second chorus with Chris. Then she slipped off stage and later Chris said ''hey, where's my Sheryl?'' and shortly she came back on stage, and held up a dollar bill ad came up behind him and put it in his pants. Hmmm.... Then she slipped to the back and Chris couldn't see her. He just kept singing and she got down on all fours behind him and did this absolutely sexy crawl towards him. Chris finally turned around and literally jumped, flubbed the chord and everything, and said ''This is my dream come true! This is great!'' He kept playing and Sheryl jumped up and sang a little more and left the stage at the end of the song. Whoa... She was having a very good time for sure. The only other guest was Lindsey Buckingham, and man that guy can still play the damn guitar, that's all I can say. Lindsey and Stevie did several songs together and you could tell the crowd really likes these two people together. At the end of the show, when everyone came back on stage, Lindsey had his arm around Sheryl. Stevie has a lot of influence on people. We saw lots of Stevie-wanna-be's in the audience all dressed up like her. Pretty funny. This concert was a benefit for the Arizona Heart Foundation. There were $1000 seats and $500 seats that got those people into a private party afterwards that would have Stevie, Sheryl and the other guests. Maybe someone reading this got to go and they can tell you about it. Gregg. ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V3 #268 *********************************
