I know we had a very heated discussion about Don Henley not so long ago, but there's something that's been bothering me for quite some time. Now, that everybody should have cooled down, I take the dare ... For those of you who have his latest album "Inside job" (which is a very fine album I have to say, good singer-songwriter thing, totally different style than Sheryl's though): Do you think "They're not here, they're not coming" is an answer to Sheryl's "Maybe angels"? I hope not everyone's on their vacation right now! Take care, Andi ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Jul 2000 08:50:22 +0200 From: "Josef Alkin" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Please, help! Hi, to all crew members! I'm Josef from Austria and I'm one of the guy who writes very rarely......... But now I need some help and hope someone can help me. I think I'm a huge Sheryl Fan. SInce 1993 I'll buy all CD releases with an Sheryl Song on it. At the moment I have over 80 (yes, eighty) Non-ALbum Tracks, all the original CD Releases! But I missed some songs and so I hope someone can help me to find them. 1: I know Sheryl plays some songs with: Stacey Earle, Kenny Loggins and Dixie Chicks. I need the Song title and the name of the CD were I can find the songs. 2: I'm looking for a copy from the "Stormy weather" CD. I'm looking for someone who can burn the complete CD for me, or record it on a Mini Disc. 3: Where I can find Sheryls Version from "The Joker"? Is it right, from the movie "The pompatus of love", directed by Richard Schenkman? 4: Where I can find the songs: Ways of love, Destiny and Stolen Moments? That's all at the moment and I'm very happy about any help. I suppose it's possible, but Maybe Angels is not supposed to be a song written from Sheryl's p.ov, but from a different character's which she did frequently before TGS. Lol and if he did mean it I'm not sure Sheryl herself would even pick up on it. Don Henley doesn't hate Sheryl or anything, I don't think he would be trying to subtly dig at her or anything. - ---------------------------------------------------- Sheryl Crow : If It Makes You Happy Join Care2.com's Race for the Rain Forest! That's not what I meant! This is why I'd been waiting to ask this question for a few weeks, because I've been afraid that this is what people might think again: "This mean old Donnie is picking on our beloved Sheryl again!". As far as I know, they are friends, or at least they respect each other. Don has encouraged her to start as a solo artist, she attended his "Storytellers"-show (which hasn't been shown on our VH1, neither has Sheryl's ...). So I thought it might be possible that he knows about "Maybe angels", and that his opinion to the alien-topic is totally different, so he might have felt like writing a song about it ...
