On the other hand, the variation on the last verse of EDIWR (pausing after each line for a guitar solo) is something I really like. I wonder if sometimes artists find an even better way to sing a song after they've already recorded it and shipped it out, and that's just what they go with in concert from then on. Of course my gripe about the Central Park album (and I didn't notice it right away) is that they cut out the final verse to "Difficult Kind". I really liked the duet of Sheryl and Sarah McLachlan, and one day I was listening to it in the car and all of a sudden I said, "hey, there was something missing there..." and sure enough they went straight from the bridge to the final refrain. Does anyone know if that is how they actually performed it live or is that just a case of editing? - -- Jim Squire: members.aol.com/jamess1889/friends.html "Chandler & Monica": www.acusd.edu/~dannys/chanmon.html "atf Off-Beat Posting Guide": members.aol.com/jamess1889/net_guide.html "Discuss the Gospel": www.crossings.org - --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Terrible to see places I grew up going up in flames." -- Sinclair, "A Voice in the Wilderness I" ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Jul 2000 11:51:14 -0700 (PDT) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?laurence?= Subject: [sheryl-crew] Rockin' The Globe Video in PAL format??? I want to see everybody play and I want to play with everybody. Sheryl (Crow) and I have become pretty good friends, which is nice. We're peers and we're doing a similar thing and it's kind of a bizarre job that we've chosen. It's nice to connect with like minds." .......... "The nice thing is, a lot of these friendships will continue on. I'm gonna go play with Sheryl in Central Park in September, and then I'm gonna teach her how to surf." Surf huh? Interesting.
