The mp3 bit was no use to me really, is therre only the one on there or is that just my PC being funny? Uh, oh yeah, I printed off about a million of those tabs, so thanks! And I'm sure some of those words are slightly off ie "The Last Time" : I think it's Louise is someone else inside her head, not the wheeze. and then I thought it went "She's swallowed by her while pretending that the blame has lon been dead , but that could be flame, like you had it. fee - --- David Ribeiro wrote: > Hello Crew, > > I have placed on my web page an MP3 of a bootleg I > created long time ago, TV > Appearances, and that I know many of you have, which > is great! First, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers on the list (LeeAnne, Dee, etc), to all your mothers, and of course, to Sheryl's mom Bernice (since I wouldn't be writing to you if it wasn't for her!). Back to the title of my email, I have a nice little treat for all of you. Back in 1997, during the "Sheryl Crow" album tour, Sheryl was playing a new song by the name of "Don't Keep Me Waiting." To my knowledge, she only played it a couple of times, there's no available studio version of the song, and there are no mp3s of even the live version. Until now. . . I've created an mp3 file of the song from a bootleg copy that I have of it and you can download it at: http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/sc_dkmw.mp3 I'm assuming most of you have never heard this song before, so consider it something to hold you over while we patiently wait for the new album. And maybe we can all try to figure out the lyrics to the song, cuz I'm definitely stuck. Also, you can listen to a 30 second real audio clip of a song called "Still" that Sheryl recorded for a movie called Dill Scallion (she actually scored the film a couple of years ago, but it hasn't found a distributor yet). You can get this at: http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/crow30s.ram Enjoy! Crew, I have just uploaded 2 more MP3s to my site for you guys to download and enjoy. They are "Strong Enough" on Letterman, and "Hallelujah" on West 54th Sessions. I hope you like them, "Hallelujah" is breath taking for me, incredible! Could some kind souls out there sign my guestbook after you download the MP3s, it would mean a lot. Take care, and happy listening, David Ribeiro Sheryl Crow Paradise http://listen.to/SherylCrow ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 May 2000 05:55:01 -0700 (PDT) From: Easter Subject: [sheryl-crew] The song you'd vote for.... Well, it's true, Nettwerk will be putting together CD compilation of last year's Lilith Fair. Of course, since Sheryl performed last year, there's a possibility that she'll be included. Sooo....here's a question I thought that would be interesting: If you're a member of the panel that gets to decide which songs of particular artists to be on the CD, what would you pick for Sheryl? I'm sure this will bring memories for those who saw her during Lilith last year. I wouldn't be surprised if they put EDIAWR on there. Thanks guys, you're great. I need something to hold me over until the next album.....and something to help me procrastinate from studying...I have an advanced placement biology test coming up this wednesday.....so I really should get going.....but not before I procrastinate a little bit more. ;) Anyway, I love those pictures of Sheryl in high school. They're so funny! I love the hurdle pictures, she has nice form over those things! Hehe. I also like the one where she was running, that's cute. And I really got a kick out of the drum major pictures!!!! The other pictures were just funny. lol. Okay, I'll go now.... :) Kate ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 May 2000 06:17:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Matt Stout Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] name that video..i cant:( - --- AmIGettingThrou@aol.com wrote: > at least they let her say acid > instead of replacing it with > salad!!!i dropped salad on a saturday night just to > see what the fuss was > about!!!!....how retarded .... LOL! :) Actually, yes it was played on MTV (I taped it). Though funny as the line was that you said, I reviewed my tape, and it just says "I dropped SALLY on a Saturday Night", which isn't too much better, but makes a little (just a little) more sense. I think the salad confusion is coming in from where they fade on one occasion the original lyric back up a tad early, so we here the beginning of "SALly" and the ending of "acID". They sort of crossfade and sound like SALAD. :) HAHAHAHAHAHA... Matt __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send instant messages & get email alerts with Yahoo! If she held on net for two beats, so it would be "life is just a ne-et into which you dive" as opposed to "life is just net into whi-ich you dive" it might be a little clearer, because when you say the words naturally, "net" is the word is the word, along with "dive" that you emphasise. Because she emphasises "which", it throws everyone, and also, because the melody peaks at "which you", you hear all that more than the rest, and, finally, because she kind of slurs stuff, being from MO, and becasue it's quick, it's all too much for our mere mortal ears! hehehe, sorry to over analyse it so much! fee - --- Matt Stout wrote: > > --- MsCreation12283@aol.com wrote: > > In a message dated 5/9/00 2:37:32 PM Pacific > > Daylight Time, > > olcrowgirl@juno.com writes: > > > > << "come on baby > > life is just a net into which you dive, and I'm > > getting closer to you > > noooowwww...." >> > > > > That's what she says, I always thought it was > "life > > is just the attitude in > > which you die".....boy, I was way off.
