I just love that part. Then, my absolute favorite part in a Sheryl song is from Rockin the Globe and when she would sing it on the tour, Home. All of the parts where she would flip up to her falsetta. "So this is Home, Home, this is hoo--me, this is home" I know, I have no clue how to describe that part, but for all you Sheryl fanatics, I know that you know exactly what I'm talking about...and Fee, don't make fun of me, I see you peepin' through my window. Shawn, I can tell for sure this is Sheryl for I also have a video of that one... I was stunned to when I first heard (and saw) it for it doesn't sound like her at all. Yet, you have to remember that Sheryl studied classical music and she probably learnt some basic stuff about Opera and stuff. This song was recording in June 1996 in Rome for the Pavarotti & Friends CD which was a project to help children who suffered from the war in Bosnia. So, no doubt, though this is sung in Italian and Sheryl goes very high (as far as her voice is concerned), that THIS IS HER. Maybe you also noticed that she reaches high notes too on those commercials from Sonicnet.com that gives another reason to believe this is her. Well, enough rambling for today. Sources close to Dylan told Rolling Stone that the special will be a throwback to the variety shows of yesteryear, focusing on Dylan but also featuring musical guests and comedy skits: "He had such a great time doing 'Dharma and Greg' last year, he wanted to do more television." ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 May 2000 13:51:36 EDT From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Is That OUR Sheryl?!?!?!?!?!?! Don't let them fool you. Yes it is Sheryl, buy the album or video if you don't believe it. Remeber, she got her college degree in classical music & training (She mentioned that in her December chat), so it's not that far-fetched that she could do something like that. Give the girl her credit where it's due, that is not an easy thing to do at all. - ---------------------------------------------------- Sheryl Crow : If It Makes You Happy Join Care2.com's Race for the Rain Forest! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 May 2000 14:41:29 EDT From: KSGymnast4@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] pic Sorry I don't have a pic...well, I do, but none I can post, 'cause it takes ages for this slow computer of mine to upload, but I'm writing because just remembered about a week ago my friend came in school with her hair cut, and it looked *just* like Sheryl's hair. And my friend hardly knows who Sheryl is, aside for the fact that I'm obsessed with her music. So, I screamed halfway across the gym "Oh my god! That's the same haircut Sheryl Crow has!" Hehehe. It was the funniest thing. I guess you had to be there, though. Hehehehe. :) Kate ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 May 2000 14:45:37 EDT From: KSGymnast4@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Is That OUR Sheryl?!?!?!?!?!?! Yup, it's definitely Sheryl. I didn't believe it at first, because usually she runs out of breath on high notes live, and La Ci Darem La Mano (which by the way is Italian for "Let's Hold Hands") was live...which brings me to my favorite moment, it's a part in an acoustic Anything But Down where she sings "And maybe we're just killing timmmmeee" and her voice goes up on "time." Well, she sort of ran out of breath on the high note and cut it off, it was the cutest thing. :) Kate ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 May 2000 19:50:44 +0100 (GMT Daylight Time) From: Oliver Schick Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Favorite Sheryl Song Moment :) > From: Matt Stout > With such a large catalog of great songs behind > (and ahead of) her, what is your favorite Sheryl > moment in a song? Don't laugh, but if it's down to short moments rather than whole songs or lines, mine is the 'half-price' in 'Members Only' (which I don't otherwise like that much). I love the way the 'i' sounds, the way it's recorded, I suppose. Just my tuppence ...
