I have been reading your messages and I'm kind of jealous because I don't think Sheryl will ever come to play over here, but I'm happy for you guys and I was just wondering if anybody has a foto with Sheryl or a foto of her in concert (not from the internet). Any way, excuse me if my english isn't that good. Oh, by the way my name is Norma. See ya. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? How can I get it?? I'm willing to add my collection to it too. Do you need setlist and such, just let me know what I can do to help. I got some digital Sheryl videofootage also from the Central Park concert. I have it on my new pc which is still not fixed. (but I can tell you where to download it). I keep thinking about this great FTP depot they have for Sarah McLachlan fans. Anyone can access it and you can pick up just about anything that's available digitally. Pictures, mp3's of bootlegs, albums, singles, rarities, realaudiofiles, realvideo files, mpeg movies, Quicktime movies, wallpapers, articles (I think), WinAmp Skins. And the coolest thing is that whenever somebody has something new, they upload it to the depot. Like with the Oscarperformance, someone had it taped digitally, made an mp3 of it and a videoclip. Do you guys think we can set this up for Sheryl fans too? There has to be just someone who's willing to open his pc up. Or someone who has his own FTP server with static IP. Christina ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 May 2000 13:09:54 +0800 From: Harinder_GREWAL@MCDS.gov.sg Subject: [sheryl-crew] Mumbo-Jumbo Hi everyone, I agree. I was also very pleased to hear Sheryl's comment on bootlegs. Some artistes get so anal about them (sometime last year I think some European artistes undertook a petition to introduce a levy on casssette and video tapes to compensate them for people recording their perrformances. One of the bands involved was one of my faves, and even though I am not European and wld not have been affected, their pettiness (and stupidity) made me think less of them. And they hardly had like 5 bootlegs available. But there is a problem with bootlegging in that some people profit from the sale of the bootlegs. I wish record companies would wise up and offer more live albums/videos to counter the illegal stuff. I think I read before that Sheryl has every single show recorded? Wouldnt it be awesome if the record company could like have a catalogue of as many shows as possible, and allow fans to order whichever shows they want, either on CD or online. They would be able to make money (esp in between albums) and put illegal bootleggers out of business at the same time. Are there any rumours as to when the next album will be out? Brigitte - where is the Sarah McLachlan site you mentioned? Please tell me. Thanks. Other stuff : Rockin the Globe will be telecast four times this month on HBO Asia. Check your guides for dates and times. I think the first telecast is on the 17th. Can I ask a favour of some kind soul - I would love copies of last year's TV performances, especially Live from Central Park, the more complete version. I dont have much to trade - I do have some recordings of Lilith Fair performances last year, but I still cannot write CDs, so they'll have to be on tape. I also have one extra copy of a local magazine with Sheryl and Nanci on the cover, with the main feature being their trip to Vietnam. But there are only like 3-4 pix in all, and aside from the cover, they're in black and white. If you dont want tapes or the mag, I can pay a reasonable price. Please do let me know. Thanks. Here is a belated review of the Central Park album in a local paper a few weeks ago. It received 5 out of 5 stars; I havent seen any other album get 5 stars before. <<'Sheryl rocks 'n' crows SHERYL CROW AND FRIENDS LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK

Sheryl Crow A&M AT THE risk of sounding giddy, it is strange and wonderful that at the start of the new century, rock will be ruled by one woman, holding the ramparts against the tide of gangsta rappers, teen wannabes and spoilt divas. This record of one incredible night provides an overview of Crow's best work, from the irresistibly anthemic If It Makes You Happy to the plaintive and heartbreaking Strong Enough. Paramour Eric Clapton drops a blistering reprise of his Cream classic, White Room. Someone please bring her back to Singapore for another show; those who saw her here four years ago still feel blessed. >> Thats it I guess. harin owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org on 02/05/2000 11:17:07 To: sheryl-crew@smoe.org @ SMTP cc: Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl bootlegs Bootlegging doesn't bother me, because it's not like they are losing record sales from Bootlegging, the people who are willing to fork out the money to buy the bootlegs are the people wh o buy all the albums anyway.
