I finally did it, I can play my favourite Sheryl song on my spanish (still need to get an acoustic western) guitar. It sounds so cool when I flip in the cd and then play along. I am in the process of learning to play the guitar but at this point I can only play the songs I learn for my lessons but I have all the Sheryl books and I am trying to learn them. I taught myself playing guitar by playing songs from several artists, including "Strong enough" and "IIMYH". Anyway, I have a band (and I also write songs by myself), the first song I ever performed live in front of a bigger audience was "Hard to make stand". I think that without Sheryl´s music I would never have started to write my own music, she really gave me an inspiration for this. So, keep groving! I want to thank everyone ( Dave, Sheryl, Zoe, and Katie) who gave me ideas on convincing my friend that Sheryl isn't exactly what people think she is. After sharing your ideas with her she said, " Well, she does seem very humble and down to earth, maybe she just gets the bad girl image because she is cool, not because she drinks, drugs, and sleeps around". I knew she would buckle under the pressure. lol Actually, I think she was just trying to give me a hard time because she has made comments in the past about how cool and normal Sheryl seems. The best part about it is that after I showed her every single Sheryl interview and article and concert I had she wanted me to tape my Sheryl Cd's so she could have them. Woo hoo, it is so much fun converting people to Sheryl's music. Sorry for the long post but I had to share. There are only 6 chords you need to know Em, D, A, C, G, Am, there are 2 more I think, but I just skip those. I got the tab edition and it really helped that the strum rhythm was noted above the music. I started in september with playing the guitar although I've been playing keyboard and piano since I was 11 (almost 10 years). I'm so proud I can play my fav song! The time for this feels like a 4/4, most likely 12/8 but I'm too lazy to write it out again, but sounds well with the verse and, "Are you Strong Enough..." bridge. Capo the guitar at the 7th fret, chords are written as played, so the G form chord sounds as a D chord.
