And getting the media involved would take at least an arrest from where I stand. I dont know about the rest of you but isn't this a little, well "not so smart." Lets rethink our actions before we go running off and sitting in little gray cells for a few hours. - -Jon On Thu, 16 Mar 2000 Dflitzer@aol.com wrote: > Now Gregg, Shame on You! There are a lot of Wal Mart employees who don't know anything about the cd not being sold there and they might not believe you right away. I did that once, I asked an employee if they had it and he was like "Um we probably sold out check back next week". Of course they would look really dumb and probably apologize, but it might not be worth the crap that you would go through. - ---------------------------------------------------- Sheryl Crow : If It Makes You Happy Join Care2.com's Race for the Rain Forest! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Mar 2000 10:33:03 -0800 From: "Gregg Dempsey" Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] April Fools Day at Wal-Mart Ok, it was just a joke. It wasn't thought through all the way! I agree with Dawn and Phyllis that this could turn out bad if the cops or the store employees really overreacted. I think if you did do this and got arrested, all the while protesting your innocence, you would get the charges dropped (eventually) and you might even have the grounds to sue for false arrest. You would have to be cool as a cucumber about your actions. Corporate Wal-Mart would want this to go away as soon as possible. Someone earlier had brought up Wal-Mart in the context of the "Sheryl Crow" CD and that store always makes me angry - they have damaged a lot of small towns, including Kennett, Missouri - and they could care less. It was a great movie!! I recommend it to anyone, two thumbs up Julia roberts always does a great job, and sheryl's two songs were in there!! I sang along...but they were pretty short. although they played EDIWR as the credits came on!! But overall the movie is a must see!
