I swear, I cried for like an hour when it happened (okay, I was also drinking, but still!). Anyway, if anyone who has this show and a CD burner feels like being a good samaritan, I would love you forever if you would make me a new CD. I will pay $$ or I have stuff to trade, too. It's just the 2nd CD - with the last 5 songs... They do a special report from the House of Blues thing where Sheryl presented and John Norris asks her about politics , etc. She is completely hilarious ! You'll see what I mean , I was cracking up . I believe the show repeats both Saturday and Sunday . Check it out. :-) Hilary ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 18:44:12 GMT From: "heather hines" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Grammys I liked Sheryl's black leather look much better than the white dress. Don't you wish we could all walk around in leather jeans? So cool. Did you see Macy Gray present that award? YIKES, just say no, Macy!! I read that she wrote "A Moment To Myself" while on an acid trip...looked like she was "tripping" again...SAD. THANK YOU for all the cool links to Sheryl pix!! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 20:04:18 +0100 From: Brigitte and/or Michael Subject: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl commenting after grammies http://www.launch.com/Features/fs_Start/?contentType=NEWS&contentId=5683 Brigitte ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 20:15:07 +0100 From: Brigitte and/or Michael Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] White Dress / Grammies Yes, true if your overweighted it's not the best color to put on, but that's not what I was pointing out. Let's say if some freaky fashioncommentator, let's say Rosie O'Donnell (everybody saw how Whitney gave her the finger?) she would call it a niple dress....lol. Oh and it has nothing do with the word "menses" (had to look that up :-) ) with the technology these days we got that pretty much covered, right girls? Although you need a flying prevet sometimes to pick something that suits you ;-) Brigitte ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 20:20:00 +0100 From: Brigitte and/or Michael Subject: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl's acceptance speech? Does anyone one know what Sheryl (or Sarah, I'd also like to know) said in her acceptance speech. I know it was on the pre-show, so it probably won't be aired on the subtitled version in our country next week. Who did she thank? Not Rosie the almighty I hope...lol. Oh and to answer a few questions, Sting's date was his wife Trudie. And that other girl presenting together with Sarah (didn't she look stunning also? Perfect proof that you don't have to be thin to look amazing) and Sheryl was Mellissa Etheridge also nominated in Sheryl's category. I was surprised that both Sheryl and Sarah won, cause 1: Sheryl's song is a cover and 2: Sarah's song is like 6 years old (the original version that is). But they both deserve it. If anyone wants to see all the pics of Sarah (and Ash), just mail me. This time they had an ex-soccerplayer/columnist as a guest and he had to pick out his favourite 2 meter Session performances. First he picked Aerosmith. 2nd he picked J.J. Cale and 3rd was Sheryl doing Strong Enough again. He said there were so less female in rockmusic. And thought that this performance especialy the accordeon part was beautiful. I suddenly started to like the guy...hehehe. Dave ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Feb 2000 02:56:37 EST From: AmIGettingThrou@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] i got this from launch....new album info (2/25/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Sheryl Crow got an eyeful of world crises when she took trips last year to places like Cambodia and Vietnam in support of landmine elimination. She says those experiences were moving and may feature prominently in her next album. "Well, I haven't gotten into the studio yet, so I don't know exactly what I'm going to be writing about," she says. "I've made several excursions on behalf of the landmine campaign. And I've seen some pretty fantastic things over the last few months in Cambodia and in Vietnam, so I have a feeling the album may be slightly activist-related or even, on a personal level, about the mistreatment of people." Crow also got to see the military firsthand when she visited troops in Bosnia alongside special guests President Bill Clinton, First Lady Hillary, and their daughter Chelsea. At Wednesday's Grammy Awards (LAUNCH, 2/23), Crow took home the honors for best female rock vocal performance for her cover of the Guns N' Roses classic, "Sweet Child O' Mine." The current reigning queen of rock has sold more than 11 million albums during her career. - -- Darren Davis, New York LANDON ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V3 #55 ********************************
