Sheryl with a little titile below her name "Professor Crow" story inside, what a way to start your day. If you're ever in Vegas stop at the Hard Rock they have Sheryl in four spots, just like Heavan. They had a silver outfit she must have worn starting out because there's a young Sheryl pic with it, then they have a red outfit and a signed guitar in a case of the Women of Rock. At the ticket counter there's a signed picture of Sheryle plus a blow up ticket from when she performed there Feb. 14, 98 It was great who needed to gamble just go from one spot to another and dream1 DaveP ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Feb 2000 11:26:11 -0800 (PST) From: Easter Subject: [sheryl-crew] Whoa... My gosh..you really can improve in a five year time frame huh? Just watched the best Grammy performances not too long ago. My Q though, why pick AIWD over TGTN? Hmmm...must have something to do with the rights or something. Anyhoo...I felt kinda out of place watching it for some reason. Oh well...hopefully this year's Grammy winners won't surprise me like they did last year. I still can't believe Sheryl didn't get the female rock vocal and lost it to Alanis Morissette. Hope everything is going well for the Crew. Seems like it's been ages since I last posted. A few days ago my brother made me laugh when I sang "there goes the neighborhood" out of nowhere and what did he do? "Woo woo...the neighborhood." I didn't dare mention who sings the song cuz he probably thought it was some rap song, since that's how he did it. Hmm..a rap version of TGTN? Wouldn't that be odd? I noticed a couple times Sheryl's eyes sort of flickered over the camera like she was nervous, especially towards the end (Mistake #1 of being on camera- don't keep glancing at it and looking away again). Things really do change; Sheryl's definitely gotten much more comfortable on camera and on stage since then. I'm not saying that performance was bad, it was actually really good for her first time at the Grammies. But I loved the live in Central Park thing they aired on FOX; she seemed really happy and energetic and comfortable. Atlanta radio station 99x has a weekly program called "Live X". This is a weekly acoustic show, like mtv unplugged, but on the radio. you get the point - i'm sure your local stations have shows like this as well. Until recently, the show was broadcast only on Fridays and Sundays at certain times. Anyone could hear it on their live webcasts at the specific times. However, the station has since ceased most of its "specialty" programs. This is only good news for everyone in cities other than Atlanta. The show is now only on their webpage, available 24hours a day. They change the shows once a week. This week - SHEYRL CROW. this is her "Live X" from 1994/5. It's old school, but still good stuff. It's in real audio. go to http://www.99x.com, click on programs, and then "Live X". Sheryl's show will be up until atleast Thursday 2/24. Its aprox. 30 min. - -rusty - ----------------------------------------------------------------- come out & support the local music scene: JENNIFER NETTLES - on tour as always - check out: http://www.jennifernettles.com March 11 @ Variety Playhouse - tix on sale now! http://www.ticketmaster.com ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Dear Crew, I just saw the Grammy Performances earlier today on vh1 and absolutely loved Sheryl's performance of AIWD. I think I did see the original airing back in '95 but that was five years ago. I'm pretty sure the reason why they showed AIWD over TGTN (which was from last year) is because AIWD was the big hit for Sheryl (that song led to her winning three Grammys). Sheryl absolutely looked stunning that night of the Grammys. She still looks great today, of course.
