Guys, I love you all, I really do......... But i'm with Jason. Off topic is one thing, but I get tired of scrolling through a whole digest to get past all the Madonna opinions to find anything about Sheryl. And thanks to whoever posted about the winamp skin. It's great! Rock On! As far as Sheryl being very energetic live, I have to say ( from being a musician who has played in front of a crowd,) the best, more energizing feeling in the world is being onstage, everyone watching you, and then doing something that you love (playing music), and everyone cheers, and sings along. It has to be one of the greatest natural highs! I saw Sheryl live twice last year also, and both performances were UNREAL! She is a tremendous live performer ! She just keeps on blowing my mind! Rock on everyone! Lisa marie ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Feb 2000 23:28:57 -0500 (EST) From: david WILLIAMS Subject: [sheryl-crew] what's the big deal? You people are hypocrites. There's no need to come out against the remake of AMERICAN PIE. That's the same thing that Sheryl did with SCOM. It's a totally different style and people just have to get over it. As sheryl herself has said ()not when talking about scom), "A good song works in all it's forms, acoustic, rocked out, whatever." Let's take that advice and forget about making fun of Madonna's remake. GOOD IDEA? Hey guys, I think we should cool it on the Madonna topic. This is after all a Sheryl Crow mailing list. News is slow, and it's true, the list often goes off topic and I let it slide. But this is a topic for a heated debate . . . one that does not belong here. So I'll be sending personal warnings from now on . . . I just recently heard of her, and now I am hooked, I am getting her cd tomorrow! I love it when a girl gets up front and can play a mean lead guitar, especially at 14!!! I remember now, a few years ago seeing a Jonny Lang interview and he said something about Shannon and that everyone should watch out cause she could out play him at times, and she was only 12 at the time I believe! I can't wait to hear her cover of HTMAS, I am sure it's awesome! Christina ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V3 #43 ********************************
