That's got to be "All kinds of people" which is featured on Tina's "Silent wings" (I'm not sure about the name of the album, but it's the one with "Goldeneye" on it). AKOP has also been released by Big Mountain (I guess) who did a great reggea version of it. Does anybody know Sheryl's version, BTW? It's TOOOOO funny!! Just had to share that. Hope everybody's having a good day, Beth "And the youngest of hearts has grown" - Sheryl Crow "We make love and we make joy" - Sheryl Crow ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Feb 2000 15:35:59 -0500 From: "Christina Clark" Subject: [sheryl-crew] a bunch of stuff Hey Crew, Just wanted to mention that I watched Shannon Curfman on "Later" lastnight and she was AMAZING! Loud Guitars and Big Suspicions is definately a cd that I am going to get! The interviewer mentioned Sheryl lastnight, saying Sheryl (she pronounced it Sherl..which made me cringe) would be proud. And Shannon said she loved Sheryl and that she was so talented and hands on. That she was a multi-instrumentalist, and produced her own records, and so on. That made me happy :o) Also, I am volunteering for Canadian Music Week, and so far it has been an amazing experience! I have dealt with fax's from Eric Clapton, and others. I have had to call record execs and music biz big wigs from all over the world (including, Terry McBride prez. of Nettwerk, Sarah's label, and some guy from William Morris Agency in Ca. I wonder if it was Sheryl's agent??). Also I found out that the special artist speaker at the convention is..not Sheryl, but Chrissie Hynde! I am so looking forward to that! Oh and the women in the office were reading an application for a new volunteer and said she looks great except her fave artist is Selena. Then they asked me who mine was again, and I said Sheryl Crow and they all said "WOW, that's great! We like you!!!" That was awesome! It made me so happy lol! One more thing, I was reading in Rolling Stone I believe it was and there was an article about Shelby Lynne. It said that her record was produced by Bill Bottrell and it said who also produced Sheryl Crow's The Globe Sessions!! I was like, can't they ever get info right?? It was interesting to see that Shelby also had the same watch, leather arm band thingy that Sheryl owns, or same idea anyway. Thats it for now, sorry, I haven't posted in like 5 days, I had to talk!! She is one....interesting person. Very outspoken, but it seems she has been through hell and back in her life, and I feel sorry for her. I haven't heard any of her music, has anybody on the crew? Just wondering what she sounded like. She is coming to Toronto April.21 and was wondering if she would be worth checking out. Thanks, Christina ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Feb 2000 16:06:22 EST From: FadedSign@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] Juanita w/ Emmylou Harris If anyone would like to hear the song "Juanita" here it is in MP3 format: http://sherylcrow.free.web1000.com/juanita.mp3 Enjoy crew! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Feb 2000 19:20:32 EST From: KSGymnast4@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Shelby Lynne Yeah, I've heard her. She's a little more typical country-ish than Sheryl is, at least from what I've heard. She is bold. One of her songs is "Life Is Bad." lol. If you want to listen to samples of her music, just go to www.cdnow.com, they always have samples. :) Kate ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Feb 2000 19:29:58 EST From: KSGymnast4@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] Birthday book Does anyone know if the birthday book was sent yet? If we all vote tomorrow, and we get enough votes, they'll (MTV) play it on Sheryl's birthday. So if anyone here decides to join us (it would be greatly appreciated!) put in the reasons why you're voting that it's Sheryl's birthday and that the video rocks. :) Maybe they'll decide to play it even if we don't have enough votes. That would be really cool. To vote go to: http://www.mtv.com/mtv/tubescan/trl99_new/pickaday.tin :) Kate ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Feb 2000 20:16:17 EST From: HILARYL123@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] birthday stuuf In a message dated 2/9/00 3:39:20 PM Eastern Standard Time, AmIGettingThrou@aol.com writes: << HEY everyone this is former comandolan and i was just wondering who was delivering the bday book and when and where?? However, rest assured that it will be getting to Sheryl in time as it's being sent to her personal management , not some random record company address. I'm trying to get pics up on the site asap. I've honestly not had the time , b/c I have been more concerned with getting it out to her. I'll let everyone known when I get some pics up . :-) Take it easy - Hilary ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Feb 2000 20:56:07 EST From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Shelby Lynne I remeber Lisa mentioned something about Sheryl in the Rolling Stone with Mariah Carey on the cover (all I have to say is..ick) but anyway I opened it and saw a little article about Shelby Lynne and I remebered that it was Bill Botrell was her producer. Well in Rolling Stone, it said he produced the Globe Sessions, and that you could actually hear his influence in some of the tracks. Amazing, since Sheryl herself produced it instead of Bill :) They probably meant her Self titled but still, what a dumb error. =================================== Mary, Mary quite contrary close your door now it's much to scary, and you might see something you wish you hadn't seen......
