The only explanations I can think of are that >maybe she does hand movements instead of the words (a long shot, I know) or >lets the crowd fill in the gaps. Both your assumptions are correct. If you see videos of her performing this, she does sometimes use hand gestures to show "high" and "low" and the audience does usually sing out the words. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2000 15:03:54 +0100 From: "Martin Havlicek" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl's concert Hi Crew, few days ago I listened to my fave local radio and they broadcasted a live concert of George Michael, Sheryl Crow and David Bowie. Sheryl sang four (? sorry, not sure) songs, I didn't have much time to listen to it, just recorded it to MD, and I'm curious if anyone of you knows the location and date of this concert? They didn't say anything like that in the radio :( TYIA Cyncerely Mart http://cyndi.misto.cz ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2000 10:09:11 EST From: Leelunar@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] EDIWR Live When I saw Sheryl at Lilith and at NetAid, both times during EDIWR, when she gets to " everbody gets", she'd hold the microphone out to the crowd, so we could sing the "high" and the "low". I guess you can't hear that so well on a live recording? Also, my opinion of a song that pushes her vocals: Leaving Las Vegas. Is the song designed to be a little out of her range? I guess since it was never one of my favorites, I just kinda thought that song was not her best Vocal work. I prefer songs like Difficult Kind where her voice is at it's very best, and sounds it's strongest. But that's justmy humble opinion :-) ........... Btw, do you think Sheryl would appreciate them saying she is in her mid 40's? lol Christina :o) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 2000 17:25:52 EST From: YOFFE3@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Vietnam article Dear Beth, Yes, I have a copy of that article. A few years back they released a very unprofessional C.D. titled "Well Composed Death Notice" featuring six tracks, one of which being a cover of Shery's "If It Makes You Happy", in this case retitled to "Hope This Makes Sheryl Crow Happy". This is a rare C.D. to find, however I did manage to find it on towerrecords.com, even though it's not on an official record label. *shrugs* Strange 'eh? Anyway, check out their cover of "It It Makes You Happy", which you can download temporarily from my website: http://www.ussjustice.com/hope_this_makes_sheryl_crow_happy.mp3 Get it fast... I also recommend getting the C.D.... It kicks major arse... *smile* http://www.towerrecords.com/product.asp?pfid=1335049 Christopher Kowalski - christopher@ussjustice.com http://www.ussjustice.com/index.html ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V3 #27 ********************************
