Pretty fitting song, since none of Jack's bodyparts were Anything But Down... lol Brigitte ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 10:04:58 PST From: "BETH KRAWCZYK" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl's official website Hi all, Does anyone know what the deal is with Sheryl's official webpage (www.sherylcrow.com)???? It doesn't have her Grammy nomination on there, and it doesn't even have Rockin' The Globe on there!!!! I sent them an email, but I'm sure I'm not going to hear back... Hope everyone's having a good day, Beth "And the youngest of hearts has grown" - Sheryl Crow "We make love and we make joy" - Sheryl Crow ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 15:32:57 EST From: YOFFE3@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] I'm looking for some things Dear Crew, How's everyone doing? I heard there's an import videocassette "Live From London" that was filmed back in late '96. I'm trying to acquire a copy of it. Also, did anyone videotape the Johnny Cash tribute special which aired last spring on TNT? Of course, Sheryl did take part in that show. One other thing, let's all pray that our favorite rocker wins the Grammy for "Best Female Rock Performance" next month. Crew, I was on the Sam the Record Man website yesterday looking to see if they had the Rockin' The Globe Vid. And they did, but there was a typo, they had it for $15.99 Can!!!!!! I wrote them and said this can't be right, most stores have it for almost $30. They wrote back and said it was indeed a typo and the real price was $27.99 (which I think is absolutely ludicrous). Anyways, the person told me that if I wanted it for $15.99 to order it by tonight or tomorrow morning. So if there are any Canadians who want the tape for really cheap, or Americans (but shipping is really expensive...for US, I think it's like (9.99) so I think it would still end up costing you like $13 US, which is good. For shipping within Canada I think it's free right now. So check it out, the site is down right now, but keep checking back! www.samtherecordman.com Just go to title and type Rockin' The Globe, cause if you go to Sheryl Crow or Video, they don't have it listed, which I don't get. Just wanted to help out some Crew members who can't get a hold of this tape! Because we get ripped off big-time on everything. I mean, everything, were your guys Lilith Tix $70? Every Sheryl single I have purchased the prices ranged from $9.99 to $14.99, the cheapest one I got was at the Virgin Megastore in NYC, so that wasn't even in Canada, it was the CCA single and it was $5.99 US so that came to $9 Can. anyways! Anyways, if the deal thing I posted doesn't work don't get mad at me, just try!! DVDs cost about S$50 in Singapore! Which is almost US$30. Even with postage costs and possible censorship fees (S$3 per half hour), it's cheaper for me to import it from the US. My DVD is right now with the Board of Film Censors (CDNow took all of two days to get it from the US to Singapore), but I managed to talk my way out of getting it censored (they exempted a music video I brought in once and I asked for a letter as proof of exemption and the grounds for exemption (that it was just music!). I use that letter to my advantage now by asking them to explain the inconsistency whenever I am asked to authorise censorship for a music video or tape!), so I'm hoping to get it in a day or two :) harin owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org on 28/01/2000 05:40:52 To: sheryl-crew@smoe.org @ SMTP, bean@accglobal.net @ SMTP cc: Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Rockin' the Globe for cheap!
