David, and Crew: I organized a chat with the people on the Sheryl Crow fan forum. Here's the message I posted (in part). It's happening tomorrow. I assumed that most of the Crew read the fan forum as well, perhaps an erroneous assumption. Message on Fan Forum: Global Sheryl Chat - January 8, 2000 @ www.sherylcrowchat.com After our other two big chats, we decided that we wanted to have another one, but include Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Singapore, China, and Australia. After doing some checking, the best time I think this will work is starting at 1500 Greenwich Mean Time (that's 3:00 pm in England). This will occur on Saturday January 8 for most of you. We will use the site www.sherylcrowchat.com - and I would suggest you log in there prior to Saturday to make sure your system works with this site (it should). Accordingly, here is the converted time for your area, hopefully. I make no claims to 100% accuracy on the time conversion. 0500 or 5 am Hawaii 0700 or 7 am Pacific (US/Canada) 0800 or 8 am Mountain (US/Canada) 0900 or 9 am Central (US/Canada) 1000 or 10 am Eastern (US/Canada) 1100 or 11 am Atlantic (Brazil/South America) 1500 or 3 pm Greenwich Mean Time (England, Ireland, Scotland) 1600 or 4 pm (France, Belgium, Hungary, etc.) 1700 or 5 pm (Israel, Middle East, South Africa) 2000 or 10 pm (Singapore) 2330 or 11:30 pm Western Australia (Perth) 0030 or 12:30 am Central Australia (Darwin)- that's Sunday Morning, January 9 0130 or 1:30 am Eastern Australia (Melbourne/Sydney) - also on Sunday Morning, January 9 Show up early, show up late, or don't participate at all, that's up to you. The chats in the past have gone on at least three hours. Sign on as your fan forum nickname so we'll know it is you. Sheryl, you are very welcome to attend, but please do not sign on with an obvious nickname. There would be a thousand questions for you and without a moderator, it would be chaos. There's no way to verify positively that it's you, unless you announce your nickname on the main page or somewhere else [not here]. You might have more fun just participating and reading what is said. Please --- no phoney Sheryl's. This is the web page for his official site http://www.lennonart.com/ Unfortunately they don't have any of his drawings on the web page due to copyright and the rules of Lennon's estate. But you can look up "John Lennon + Lithograph" in any search engine and find pics of his artwork. Much of his art was devoted to his family, Yoko and his sons, which makes his senseless murder by a deranged fan all the more horrible cause you realize what a family man Lennon had become after his hectic early years as a Beatle. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 11:39:42 -0800 (PST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Laurence?= Subject: [sheryl-crew] bass tablature? hello crew :) someone wrote to me because he couldn't find bass tablature of sheryl's songs. i don't know where to find some either... anyone knows ? thanx! laurence ===== sometimes when it's quiet, i'm an angel in white -- sheryl crow sheryl crow's neighborhood http://www.multimania.com/rocksheryl rocksheryl@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? On Wed. night a very good friend of mine commited suicide. I was told this yesterday afternoon. He was one of those great guy friends from high school. You know the one that would sit with you douring lunch, walk you to class. The one that was always there for you no matter what. The kind of guy that asked you to Homecoming, watched your softball practices after school after his baseball practices. The last time I saw him was in June, before he left for the Marines. Anyways, I've been listening to my Sheryl Crow CDs. Trying to lift myself up. I wanted to share that with you guys. Life is too short to do something like this that would make it even more shorter. Nothing is ever bad enough to want to kill your self, and if it is, get help. Thank you for reading. I hope everybody takes care. Rock On.. Hey crew, Sorry about this but I had to vent. Just skimming through the AOL message boards about what people think of the Grammy nominations....come a cross a category titled Sheryl Crow so I take a look. One person is saying that she does not deserve a nomiation for SCOM~true they could have chosen a better song but SHE DESERVES A NOMINATION~that didn't tick me off as much as the next post....the one that read something to the effect that she is a joke always has been, always will be. Oh please, Sheryl a joke c'mon. They obviously haven't heard most of her music or seen her live or they are just deaf, dumb, and blind. I won't vent anymore but thanks for putting up with my frustration. Cheers Amanda =) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 23:05:58 EST From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Sheryl a joke???? Don't worry about the AOL boards..It's pretty much true that a lot of people on AOL are morons (no offense to any fellow aolers but..I'm sure you've seen your share of idiots). Yeah a lot of people like to bitch about music they don't like, what can I say there are a lot of negative, rude people out there. That's why it's better just to stay away, intelligent people realize that Sheryl is a good musician, or if they don't share that opinion they are smart enough to keep their damn mouth closed. I would love to see Sheryl win just to spite some of those dorks. But you know I don't like all of the artists nominated for Grammys but I keep my opinion to myself, just because I don't like it doesn't mean that the particular artist sucks or is undeserving. =================================== Mary, Mary quite contrary close your door now it's much to scary, and you might see something you wish you hadn't seen......
