Hi Crew.. I was just surfing the web and I ran across this! NEWS: 1/1/00 SHERYL CROW: HELP ON THE WAY It seems that it's been impossible to escape Sheryl Crow this year. She united Sarah McLachlan on the Lilith Fair bill, appeared at the Concert of the Century, and held her own bash in Central Park with esteemed guests like Eric Clapton and Keith Richards. Rather than "Anything But Down," the vibrant rocker has been anything but indoors. Now, with Nanci Griffith, Crow is turning her ubiquity to a worthy cause. Both singers have lent their support to the Campaign for a Landmine Free World. As well as attempting to curb the devastating effects landmines have on communities in the war-torn Third World, the Campaign provides rehabilitation services and artificial limbs for landmine victims. In 1997 the Campaign even won a Nobel Peace Prize. As part of their duties, Crow and Griffith will travel to Vietnam. Beginning on January 11, they will tour the country and Cambodia for 11 days. To raise awareness and money for the campaign, they will stop at rehabilitation clinics run by the Vietnam Veterans of American Foundation. - ----------------------- This just shows how Ms. Sheryl Crow is a warm hearted person and cares for her fans whoever they maybe and cares for those who are in need. It just shows that she is a great person, not just musically but also as a person. Great Job Sheryl! Rock On Crew!
