Well... She is still herself, just not the "herself" she used to be. Sheryl started out a very down and depressed individual, I can think of not one song of hers that is a happy song. Don't get me wrong, I love her, depressed or happy, but lately she's been all happy, at least in the public's eye, and not the depressed one she started out to be. At least that's my view. People are a little bit weirded-out by the sight of her being so happy for a change, and to tell you the truth, I am interested in seeing the next album. Since the release of "The Globe Sessions" she's been doing damn good relationship-wise, so just how much heartache can she put into the next album? Of course, I'm sure she's got a bunch of old lyrics from back then. *shrugs* I think it's good to see her so peppy. It appears that Sheryl herself posted on her site's fan forum today. It's under a thread called "Sheryl Can You Hear Me?" I think it's genuine. Comments? I love how Sheryl dances around and runs and stares at the crowd and how she says "1..2..shake your asses" It's so fun, I was getting tired of that song until I saw her in concert and every time she performs that song, she does the same stuff. I love it much more now. I hope she always does that on that song. Let her live it up, you know? She's worked so hard to be what she is today. Sheryl's been growing over the years, as we all do, and this is just her style. She looked so happy at her Central Park Show, I loved it. Just look how far she's come, from her depression and all. Do you know what I'm saying? I doubt she was being fake though, because if you've seen her in concert, you know she acts like that. It's not fake. Sorry if I sounded rude at all, I don't mean to be. I'm just letting you know what I think about that post. BTW, where do we send the letters and stuff, if we want to mail it? Thanks.. I am working on a new poll for everyone to use if that's how we want to do it. So, is this how it will be? Have a poll and someone will be in charge of printing them out? And then there are other things we could include: - - artwork (definitely include the milk ads...haha) =) - - personal letters to Sheryl - - poetry, songs - - pictures If anyone has poll ideas, feel free to email me about if if you like. I thought she was only playing with me sometimes. Turns out when we went to get my car stereo back after being fixed for a week, I said that we'll be listening to Dido. I really wasn't expecting her response: "What?! How come you didn't bring Sheryl Crow?!" Owie...she didn't say that, she practically *yelled* it out. Well, one thing for sure, she'll like my X-Mas present this year! :) Katie ();) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products. So I stick to my original prediction that following a HUGE disillusionment, there will be a new britney, badass and musical. Just look at Alanis, her music 10 years ago was just as poppy. Who knows what could happen. As faras sheryl trying to hard at the Central Park show, I was glad she went all out. How often are youi put in that position. I think she rose to the occasion. She wanted to make a show that everyone loved and was uplifted by. It's not like she forgot how to play home and riverwide, but this show was about playing 100% to the crowds and cameras. She also had her idols and frinds up there, as well as the band that she's been touring with for months. Of course she's gonna go all out. Without her guitar, that show could have really dragged on. She knew she needed the audience into it right away. I don't know. I just wasn't surprised by her behavior that night, and I think to read to much into it is kinda odd. Hmm everybody lately seems to have something negative to say about Ms. Crow.. I know that everybody has their right to have freedom of speech. I just wonder where they get some of their comments from. I have seen Ms. Crow in concert acouple of times. And each time she rocks out!! I have never thought of her to be fake, to impress others, or to be trendy. I have always seen her as somebody that knows how to put on a good show, that knows how to rock out the way she knows how, and somebody that expresses herself without any shame.. I admire people like her, and obviously I admire her. She isn't a god(as much as some of us think she is..:)...), but more of a individual who plays hard and does what she loves.. Yes she might slip on a lyric here or there, but that is normal.. She might dance the night away on the stage singing her songs and laughing out loud and showing everybody that she is happy. She might pick up her guitar and start headbanging and moshing on stage, and everybody will still love her. We love her for who she is, for how she performs, for her music. Not on if we think she is fake. But if you think she is fake, then that is your humble opinion. I personally admire her. Not just because she is famous or that she has a pretty smile. But because she is who she is, she sings from the soul. She plays from the heart. Nothing less. Thank You for reading this Crew:) Rock On:) Jen In a message dated 12/9/99 6:21:45 PM Pacific Standard Time, BARFKO@prodigy.net writes: << Not to get involved in this, but I just had to say that on the Sheryl Crow concert "Live From Central Park", Ms. Crow is dressed pretty scantilly, and she does say "everybody now shake your ass" Also just my opinion, but Sheryl doesn't seem herself these days. It looked like she was trying WAY too hard to be HIP on the Central Park show. What was with her dancing around on EDIAWR. She looked pretty stupid if you ask me. DOn't get me wrong, I dig her music, but she used to be very honest and she seems like she's kinda fakin' it.
