Opening song was Maybe That's something..This concert kicked ass not just because of the music, but cause i got to go w/ Michele, and cause I got Sheryl's autogrpah after :) 4th- Lillith Fair, August 17 , Blossom, cleveland.. Lilith was really fun except for some obnoxious ppl behind us (heh). Lots of great music. I don't remeber the opening song, i think maybe it was A Change. She was wearing a white tank top thing and black pants. 9.) Have you ever met her? More details, please... After the may 3 concert I waited after and Got her Autogrpah ..she personalized it and said a smiled at me, said a few things ..it was nice, lol i kept my focus on her kickass orange backpack she had with her. Anything But Down, baby! (That's going to be the name of my Sheryl site when I get the time.. Well, without the "baby!" part.. lol) 5.) What's the first Sheryl video you saw? The first one I remember is Strong Enough.. Her TNMC days were a daze for me.. I was only 8 or 9.. 6.) What's your fave Sheryl video? Anything But Down 7.) Do you have a favorite Sheryl talk show appearance? Nope.. Don't remember seeing her on any.. 8.) How many times have you seen her live? (Details encouraged, teehee.) Oh geez! I almost said none! I saw her at Lilith this year (the only one I got to =( I missed Jewel here).. I had lawn seats and we got there really late so we were at the back of the lawn.. lol.. But my sister's nice friend let me use her 10th row center passes for Sheryl because she knows how obsessed I am with her now (It's all about Jewel, Sheryl, and Ani for me!) 9.) Have you ever met her? More details, please... Unfortunately, that 10th row thing ddn't come with a backstage pass =) 10.) What is your prize Sheryl possession? Uhhhh.. I've just recently become infatuated with her (I was too young before..) so I'd say my TGS CD, which is my favorite CD in my collection.. And recently I found the Sweet Child O Mine one track promo in my used record store for 3.00, which was awesome.. I love the cover, no matter what people say.. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Dec 1999 19:42:34 EST From: Jwlfan112@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] Re: First poll.. sorry i'm late =) 1.) Rate Sheryl's albums in order of your preference. TGS (With a bullet), SC, TNMC 2.) What's your least favorite Sheryl song? I love them all! I hate it when people answer like this, but I can't pick one.. 3.) What songs would you request of her in concert? Anything But Down and EDIARW were where she has the most energy.. I'd say those.. And I love Am I Getting Through when I'm the only one who knows about when it breaks into the second part.. They're all confused about the phone sounds.. 4.) What song would you prefer not to hear in concert? All I Wanna Do.. I've just heard it too much.. 5.) What's your favorite Sheryl soundtrack song? Haven't heard them all yet, but Sweet Child O' Mine.. If just for her vocals.. The music's not very impressive.. 6.) What's your fave Sheryl Web site to visit? Hopefully mine will be when I get working on it.. I'm not really familiar with the sites, the official one and think one called Paradise? 7.) What artist do you think is most similar to Sheryl? Some of Jewel's unreleased and early stuff sounds like Sheryl.. And Sheryl can sound very Indigo Girls-y.. 8.) How have you fared in attempts to "convert" others to the glories of Sheryl? Well I haven't been a huge fan long enough to try, but I'll let you know ;-) 9) Who would you like Sheryl to do a duet with on a concert? I want to see her sing with Jewel =) 10) What is your favourite Sheryl video and why? Anything But Down.. Surprised? That's my favorite look for her.. As a side note, when SC was first being released, I saw the IIMYH video for the first time on VH1.. I turned in the middle of the video, and I thought it was Liz Phair.. Which is weird, cause I hadn't even seen or gotten into Liz at that time either (I am now =)), she just looked like a Liz Phair.. Completely different than TNMC.. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Dec 1999 20:05:58 EST From: RDK144@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Another poll shall we? Hey Crew, Is anyone saving everyone's Poll answers? I just got a great idea. I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but for the past two years, this mailing list has organized a birthday book for Sheryl of letters, poems, etc, from members of the list and we have successfully given it to her for her birthday as a gift from her fans (February 11 -- the first one was done in 1998, and again earlier this year). So I was thinkin'...February ain't too far off, and since it's been a big hit with everyone, including Sheryl (see below for Sheryl's quote from a recent chat)...why not start working on another one...collecting letters, etc...but also include these Polls, I think Sheryl could get a real kick out of it. What do you guys think? Lisa - --------------- From Sheryl's August 4th internet chat at MSNBC.com (FYI: it was my question): [22:22] Question from Sheryl Crew: Sheryl, on behalf of the Sheryl Crew (unofficial mailing list), I would just like to say thank you for all your great music. Did you enjoy the book that we put together for you for your birthday earlier this year? [22:22] I loved the book and I keep it in my wardrobe case and the band has spent a lot of time looking at it also, ocassionally ribbing me for a picture or two. I really appreciate the amount of work that went into it! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Dec 1999 10:53:07 -0400 From: "Renee Steeves" Subject: [sheryl-crew] gonna try again ok..this is the third time i have tried writing and sending this...hopefully it will show up this time thanks to Christina's help (props to you fellow Canuck!!) ok...has anybody ever heard of 14yr old guitar/singer by the name of Shannon Curfman??? i saw her on Good Mornng America a few days ago, and she was really quite good! Or maybe 'HOME' because it's also quiet. In both videos, colours steal the attention. [11] IF YOU COULD CHANGE A SMALL PART TO ANY SHERYL CROW SONG TO YOUR OWN WORDING, WHAT SONG WOULD IT BE AND WHAT WOULD THE CHANGE LOOK LIKE: that's a hard one, I need a little time think about this. I mostly like all sheryls lyrics ... and this is a new one 12) When, where and how did you see/hear/meet/mention Sheryl Crow at first ? I remember 'All I Wanna Do' from the radio (1994) but I didn't realise Sheryl would take my heart away. In 1996 Sheryl performed run, baby, run live with Eric Clapton at Pavarotti and friends. In the meantime MTV played 'Everyday is a winding road' almost all day. I was obsessed by this song ! So I decided to buy TNMC and SC. In august 1998 MTV started playing 'My Favorite Mistake',a new obsession for me, so TGS followed.
