Maybe you knew? I just bought a double cd of Mirrorball which you get Surfacing for free and if you play them in your cd-romplayer you can view some videoclips of her. And what I noticed is that she's so normal and pretty also without make-up and she's young too. Well that clip was 2 years ago. I just thought I would share this. I can't say I like it, even though I'm a huge Prince/The Artist fan. He's certainly made it more "funky", but he changed some of the lyrics (with, I assume, Sheryl's permission). Instead of singing "I've been living on coffee and nicotine", he sings "I've been living on mints and herbal tea" which kind of defeats the original meaning of the line. In case you don't know, The Artist has been on a religious kick lately (he's almost a Jehovah's Witness), doesn't curse anymore, and is a vegan. He's getting on my nerves, too. Perhaps it will grow on me with repeated listenings. - -Larr __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Nov 1999 15:12:56 -0000 From: "Nadine P" Subject: Re: Re:[sheryl-crew] counting crows and sheryl ive also got the live version, i havent got a clue when and where i was hoping someone on the crew could help i was thinking sheryls first woodstock i dunno nadine - ----- Original Message ----- From: Brigitte & Michael To: Sent: 03 November 1999 11:39 Subject: Re:[sheryl-crew] counting crows and sheryl > Yeah, Nadine I heard. First of all, if I could spend the week with Sheryl Crow and her band, I would definitely be in HEAVEN!! Seriously though, I would like to play with the band. Try to get some songs in with the band douring a performance.. I would learn from her and her band. I would just live the experience every which way it comes. Sheryl Crow is a big part of my music. I'll ask her questions about music, about life, playing the guitar, being in a band, what it takes..Geezz I can totally pop out a list right now.. I would sit her down and have a cup of coffee and tell her the best way I can how much the music that she sings and everything that she brings upon her music means to me. and means to much others..... What else...I would totally cherish that week.. If that opportunity would ever come up I would be there in a heart beat..well, probably half of a heart beat!!!:) Good question Amanda!! Rock on my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jen from Cali:) I hope everybody is doing well...I love all of the emails I've been getting from the list..keep it up guys!!!!:) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Nov 1999 16:47:16 -0800 From: "Christopher Kowalski" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Another Question Greetings Sheryl Crew, I was wondering, it was probably discussed before I joined the list, but does anybody know the reason that Sheryl Crow used the exact same music from the song "Rescucitation..." for her B-Side track titled "Straight To The Moon...". And what's even funnier, is she released both of them on a professional level. Same song... Different lyrics... I know that "Rescucitation..." was released first, on import versions of her third album as well as the soundtrack for "The Faculty...", and then later on the import singles for "There Goes The NeighborHood..." she released the re-make, and now that re-make is featured on the new "King Of The Hill..." soundtrack.
