A tad bit out of my price range though. It did say that it's the one she wore at the Grammy's, but it didn't say that it's her regular everyday watch. I know she's rich and all, but I don't think I would wear a $2000 some dollar watch on stage. It would get all sweaty and gross, and not to mention audience members throwing outhouse sludge on it. I think she wears a different one on stage, I'll just let myself believe it's a babyG, the kind I am going to get in a couple of weeks. The one in the mag just didn't look as thick as the one she wears on stage. I could very well be wrong though. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Oct 1999 23:44:42 -0700 From: "David Ribeiro" Subject: RE: [sheryl-crew] that guys site Crew, Couldn't agree more. This is _way_ off the list's purpose... But I felt it necessary... I guess my signature just doesn't stand out to me as much as it seems to have for a few people on the list, probably because to me it is normal. Okay, we can hammer out the political stand-points of the issue at hand, but that's defeating (Much like the first E-Mails sent across the list based on this subject were...) the purpose behind the "Sheryl Crew..." mailing list we all love to read each day... Probably to appear as a sign of weakness, but rather than ruin the fun of the mailing list for those (Who I thank for the many "Ignore them..." E-Mails I have received in the last few hours...) who have no problem with my "life-style...", I'm going to sign-off from the list after sending this, so that people can go back to talking about Sheryl Crow. After-All that is what we all joined the list for. Thanks for all the great information passed along through this list in the last few weeks or months, however long it was that I was on the list. If somebody could please send me the proper address/command to un-subscribe. Thank you. "The U.S. army only wants a few straight men..." - Sheryl Crow... Well, as Christopher put it, we are all here to share our passion for Sheryl. So what does it matter if some of us are gay?? Plus the URL he added doesn't mean he IS gay!!! And what does it matter anyway????????? Well, now he wants to leave the list and what? Are you people close- minded?? I think Sheryl wouldn't accept that kind of behavior either. Christopher, as some told you already, just ignore those weidoes who yelled at you for just being yourself, I mean we are all human, right? Please don't leave the list just because you've been offended, I mean those people who treated you bad will feel like you're a coward and if you actually leave, they'll feel happier and stronger. Please don't give up!!! Sorry for all that crap guys, but if someone hasn't been stupid enough to say homosexuality was wrong, all that wouldn't have happen. Those people who said that should leave and not Christopher, INTOLERANCE SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED!!! (I think I get intolerant towards intolerant people there so I shouldn't be allowed either! LOL!!!) Anne PS: I apologize if I offended some of you but the fact is what those guys (sorry I don't know if more than one person said it) are just intolerant and retarded!!! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Oct 1999 17:39:03 -0700 From: "Adrian du Plessis" Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Mr. Kowalski's link (Way off) Hi Crew -- This issue over web-site URLS that are attached to emails had me checking out Christopher's site to consider the specifics. Seems to me that it's a new site promoting understanding and tolerance. I wouldn't be in favour of something that stirs up hatred or distrust, or ill will. If it's not harmful to others, and it's a positive thing in someone's life -- then it's cool by me. The whole issue, then, of URLs and emails becomes one of free speech or expression -- something I'm sure Sheryl would have some feelings about. I guess there could be a list policy or something -- either saying no to URLs or yes to URLs. But it's a much tougher area making what amount to moral decisions based on an individual's own views. What does our particular on-line segment of society feel is appropriate or not? I'm opposed to hate sites, or sites that are obscene being promoted here -- and things are cruel to people, but things are are positive about life, that's another thing. Mostly, it looks like Christopher's site is under construction so who can say what it's going to contain. Right now, it's about things that matter to him in a positive way. Unfortunately, I usually don't have time to check out many web-sites, so I just read the emails posted here. A community decides its own rules, so, no doubt there'll be lots of debate on this issue. I hope everyone remembers to be kind to each other... and keep cool. cheers, Adrian ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Oct 1999 20:10:06 -0500 From: Bob Stell Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] that guys site I agree with Spin spin...my stupid little web site url is automatically added to every e-mail I send too.....It doesn't mean you have to visit, or like it, it's just a part of my signature.
