And second, neither she, Clapton, or John Fogerty came back on stage for the encore. I'm just wondering if something happened or there was a clash of egos somewhere. Anybody have any information or explanation for either of these? Gregg. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Oct 1999 18:54:31 GMT From: "heather hines" Subject: [sheryl-crew] Woodstock /Sweet Child I watched the Fox tape of Sweet Child of Mine (Woodstock) again last night. I don't know if people threw mud at Sheryl, but at one point, a tennis shoe was thrown on stage. (Or maybe it just flew off when someone was being beaten up in the mosh pit!!) She definately backed off when she saw it coming. I'm sure there were Sheryl fans in the audience, but they were outnumbered by so many drunk, obnoxious troublemakers. I would have been scared to death!! Christina, we definately want to see those 'bad hair day' pics! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Oct 1999 16:24:57 -0400 From: Brooke James Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] Luscious Jackson Drummer On Sheryl I love luscious jackson, and it's great that a great band admires such an amazing female artist such as Sheryl!! :0) brooke ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it. Hey Crew, I just wanted to tell everyone that Sheryl is in the November issue of In Style mag (as usual) twice, there is a pic of her in between Owen and Andrew Dorff at a MTV video awards after party, and a pic of her with her watch ( a question people were asking about earlier) that she wore to the Grammies. Well Sheryl followers, if you want a classic BSA Chrono watch by Bell and Ross( like her's) it'll cost you a cool $2,500. That translates into about $150,000,000 Canadian for me, lol! It really sucks the few watches I loved in this mag, were Tag Heurer's Alter Ego $1,295, Ebel's Beluga $1,450, & Baume and Mercier's Capeland Chrono $2,350, Sheryl's Bell and Ross $2,500 I love most Chrono watches, but I love Sheryl's cause of the leather band, I don't so much like the silver..bracelet bands, the face of the Bell and Ross suits the leather band most. So in order in Canadian funds: $2,000, $2,175, $3,425 & $ 3,750. Can you believe it? Our money sucks. Sorry, had to get that off my chest. lol I can't believe I just spoke that much of watches, I am losing it! Is it a sign that I am incredibly bored? Or can you tell I have been watch hunting for about 4 months now? He switches a few lyrics around, adds a couple of his own and the guitars are out, and it's heavy on the bass. The chorus is the part that bugs me the most, it sounds overdone. I guess it's no surprise that I'm gonna say that I prefer Sheryl's. It's actually after you get over it's a Sheryl song, not that bad to listen too, I just wish it was..a little less produced. How sad. Does anyone out there have the .mp3 from Lilith Fair in which they _did_ sing together? If so, let me know, I'd really appreciate it. I have to say (Readys himself to be yelled at for this one...) I actually "very strongly dislike..." the "EveryDay Is A Winding Road..." song. It wasn't until I purchased the import version of "The Globe Sessions..." which had a live version of the song on it's second disc' that I actually started to like it. I still can't listen to the original album version of the song, but the live version is slower, and less "peppy..." which to me just doesn't suit Sheryl's style. Maybe that's why I don't like it, too peppy. *shrugs* Either way, I look forward to the Prince version. "Baby Knows..." (Which I had burned onto a C.D. after receiving the .mp3 file thanks to this mailing list...) is great. It's strange to hear Sheryl belting out lyrics about a girls "butt that goes 'round..." but I guess that's what makes it unique. *smiles* Christopher Kowalski - christopher@ussjustice.com http://www.ussjustice.com/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Oct 1999 23:16:12 -0700 From: Eddie Davis Subject: [sheryl-crew] Central Park CD I received in the mail today a CD of the Sheryl Crow and Friends Concert.
