My favorite songs off of 'Sheryl Crow' would have to be two, perhaps three. In no particular order, here goes: 1. Every Day is a Winding Road--Dunno why; just is. 2. A Change 3. If It Makes You Happy--This one had to grow on me, for some reason...still, it's pretty cool. Of course, the whole album's good--there are just certain songs I'm more inclined to really enjoy. As for 'Behind the Music' & TLC, well...maybe VH1 was /hoping/ that TLC would be washed up in the near future. After blowtorching Andre Rison's house, ol' Left-Eye might have been a good reason to think that "Yes, perhaps they're on their way out...." It still astounds me to recall something the little twit said in an interview about how she didn't like jail, how people were mean to her or something, and that the legal system was out to get her. After ashing a two million-dollar house? Gee, I wonder why. Instead of thinking about trivialities like that, she should have been thankful that Rison didn't get his hands on her after the fact. The one song that made me cry when I first heard it and knew I'd be a huge fan of Sheryl. :) I never liked Home till I heard her perform it on the piano for Storytellers. Of course...I like the whole album. :) Now I know I promised myself to not mention this, but somehow..I can't seem to keep it to myself any longer. Ordinary Morning is the kind of song I'd like to dance around to naked. *gulp* Anyone else feels this way? Anyways...I noticed it was two years ago on Sept. 20 where I first saw my first Sheryl concert in Tampa. :) Then a year after that was TGS. :) Katie ();) ===== ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "You don't know what it's like to listen to your fears. Like someone else said, Sad SAD World kicks ass and is one of my favorite songs. In Need I think might be my favorite song ever...I don't know why it is just so great!!! And the version of On the Outside is awesome too. My junior year of high I played that cd evryday on the way to cross country practice and back---esp. Sad Sad World and In Need...its kind of sad to look back at that :( IT's great how certain songs of Sheryl's can bring back memories of when I would listen to it. ===== Brad __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? But The Washington Post reviewer said, "The Minus Man-- Less Than Zero". Although I would imagine "Double Jeopardy" will get most of the business this weekend, "The Minus Man" is a better film. Howerver, "American Beauty" is not only the best movie opening this weekend, but one of the best of the year, possibly THE best so far. It's a shame "Minus Man" had to open on a weekend with such stiff competition. I don't like it's chances at the box office. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Sep 1999 11:28:29 -0700 (PDT) From: Brad Boose Subject: [sheryl-crew] Central Park Single OK---there have been rumors going around about SHeryl releasing the Central Park concret as her next cd. If this is true, the after TDK, a new single would probably be put out. If she follows the same pattern as Sarah's "Mirrorball," she would release an old single that did ok, but not a super hit. Personally, I woul dlove to see TGTN released, although it probably won't because the label would probably want to promote the guests on the cd. If so, then maybe "Strong Enough" w/ the Chicks." I think that TGTN would have been a huge hit and that the label really screwed up on this one. She could release this because it was on several A3 radio stations and a lot of people saw it at the Grammy's. This would be a way to make things right and give Sheryl a huge hit...what do you guys think? ===== Brad __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I still remember seeing that vid for the first time, I was wondering who the person singing that amazing song was, then at the end when it said Sheryl Crow I was in total shock! Seems that, generally, the ones who like it the most are the ones who see themselves as the head of their country, or their names in liner notes or something. I myself think it's not so great of an idea. Did you ever think of how much money membership cards, et cetera would cost? And how would the national heads or whatever be determined? It's whomever wants to do it's business, but I myself would much rather have the decentralized free-for-all that is the list be the best representation of Sheryl fandom. Regards, F.
