She was at the Lilith I went to in SanFrancisco though, so maybe she got sick or had some prior commitments or something. Apparently, she's also releasing a new self-titled solo album some time this month, so if you're a fan of hers, keep an eye out for it (Lorenza also has another album released a few years ago called "Imago" on Angel Records). And the replacement for Lorenza is a woman named Mary Rowell. The webcast show was only her 2nd gig with the band and with hardly any rehearsal time. Leaving Sheryl Crow for John Tesh?! *sigh* What is this world coming to? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Aug 1999 01:10:09 -0400 From: Katie Subject: Lilith in Detroit 8/14 i just made it back in the door from seeing lilith fair at pine knob in clarkston, michigan. on the main stage, liz phair started the show. she did as nice job, but no one really seemed to be getting into. then came queen latifah. i was unsure of how she would go over with the crowd, but she managed to liven things up a bit and was talking to the audience. then came the dixie chicks. they are pretty spunky and got everyone to start dancing. and then came sheryl! she was wearing her black leather pants, and it looks like her hair is getting a bit longer from when she cut it very, very short. her set included: A Change (Would Do You Good) Anything But Down My Favorite Mistake Everyday Is A Winding Road (with Ash Sood on bongo drums) Am I Getting Through Part I & II (the crowd didn't really know what to do with this song - they all sat down at this point) Can't Cry Anymore The Difficult Kind (she skipped the third verse. lighters were in the air during this song!) Strong Enough (with Sarah; they sounded pretty good together!)
