ARGGGHHH!!!! I'm sorry, but that pisses me off a little bit...who ever is in charge of Sheryl's singles is really screwy. Remember how Sheryl made a new video of TGTN for the U.S. The song would have been perfect for the summer, something rockin'. Then SCOM is released, and it is getting very little airplay. Noe TDK comes out of nowhere. It kind of makes the whole SCOM debacle seem like a big waste of time and money. I should be Sheryl's manager!!!! I would take care of her sooooooo well :) - --- SCFANCLUB2@aol.com wrote: > Hey Crew, > I was just watching VH1 during the 2 o'clock hour > and they had an interview > with Sheryl from the Lilith Fair in Atlanta this > past weekend talking to her > about the 100 Greatest Women coundtdown that they're > doing. Apologies if I sound like a downer, but do you think "The Difficult Kind" will be successful as a single? I really don't think so. First off, it's a ballad, second it's definitely country-influenced, and it is rather long (6:19). Though I agree it is a good song, I don't think it will get much radio airplay. They should release "TGTN" during the summer, and "Mississippi" or "Maybe That's Something" during the fall. Hi Crew, Ya know, I was THRILLED to hear that TDK was going to be released as a single! I think out of all the songs on Sessions CD, that song effects me the most. The words to the song pull at my heart and I usually get so emotional when I hear it, I need a hug or something right afterwards! LOL Sort of like "Home" on the Sheryl Crow CD. As for how it will do on the charts, I don't know. I do believe that it's a song that people can relate to upon first listening. I also believe that just because it's a ballad doesn't mean that it won't do well. Also, I remember Sheryl Crow saying in an interview once (maybe Launch?) that she would prefer that people not recognize her as the artist that wrote, "All I Wanna Do" but rather an artist that wrote _______ (to be determined). I think TDK could be the type of song that Sheryl would be proud to have in that blank. I have to agree and disagree..I think TDK is a wonderful amazing full of emotions song. A lot of people may love it and a lot of people might hate it. It might have been a better move to release TGTN instead, because it is more of a up-beat type of song that has lyrics that stick in your head after hearing it. But TDK is also one of those songs. It might not be up-beat. It might be a song full of emotions that are pouring out. A lot of people like that kind of music. I totally love Sheryl Crow and I love the way her music sounds, love the way she puts all of her energy and emotions in everything she writes. I think the single will do great. I just hope everybody else thinks the same way.
