I'll start to have respect for bands like Korn whenever Eric Clapton and the Stones start asking them to play with them... It would help if all of their songs didn't sound the same as well. crash, bang, scream, more screaming, crash bang....you get the idea...what ever happened to music sounding like music, not noise?? I mean, back in the late 80's there were lots of incredibly popular "heavy metal" bands that at the time were considered to be noise...looking back on it now, I'm sure most people would agree that the music was at least melodic and much more musically pleasing than most of the crap out today. And of course she was wonderful. It poured down rain while we were there, but my undying devotion kept me there. She never sang SCOM, but she did sing Strong Enough with Sarah, which made my night! Oh, and for those of you who attended Woodstock, Sheryl was not happen about it. She had just come from NY to be at the show in Atlanta, and she said Woodstock was terrible! _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. The following titles have been released in this series. (I have the tracklistings, so it's not necessary to send it). I suppose this is a CD-R series, is that correct? Or are they genuine CDs? How is the packaging and artwork? Vol. 1: Live in London (from Laserdisc) Vol. 2: Live in London (cont.) + STORYTELLERS Vol. 3: The B-Sides/Rare Tracks CD Compilation Vol. 4: The LIVE B-Sides/Rare Tracks CD Compilation Vol. 5: The Trinity Church Sessions Vol. 6: 1992 Unreleased Album Vol. 7: BBC Wembley Arena Vol. 8: Live in Atlanta, GA Then, while surfing through the web, I came across another Sheryl bootleg label, called "Natural Woman Records". Anyone knows this? There must be at least 7 releases, I found out the following, can somebody complete the list? If possible, I'd be interested in the tracklists too. N.W. 004: The Unreleased Album N.W. 005: My Favourite Sesions (Live 10/18/98 ?) N.W. 007: Living Covers Btw, is there a good and complete bootleg page on the web? I haven't found anything so far. Thanks very much! Nothing to do with the Dick character, I found his set rather inconsequential, I dont think Sheryl woudl have been influenced by him. Funny thing - Sheryl had the attention of a lot of the audience, even those not in front of the stage, until TDK. People just started getting restless with that. Shame. Last thing - I woudl love to get a copy of Sheryls perf on video. Anyoen who can make me a good copy, pls pls let me know what you'd like in return. I also desperately want the performances of ALanis Morissette and Jewel (coming up in about an hr or so), so if you're recording them pls also contact me???? She had just come from NY to be at the show in Atlanta, and she said Woodstock was terrible!<< I snipped the Atlanta part, but am sorry to hear that it rained. I hope Natalie and Sean didn't get too wet :) Anyway... Having seen her Woodstock performance on Friday, her comments about it don't surprise me. Here's why: 1. Time of day. I've yet to see a day show that wouldn't have been better at night when lights, etc., can be used for a more dramatic effect. 2. The sound. I thought the sound crew (Sheryl's, Woodstock's?) did a poor job. There were times when certain instruments and backing vocals couldn't be heard during important parts of some songs. There were also times when some instruments couldn't be heard at all. Most notably, the cello at the beginning of "Am I Getting Through" and Sheryl's guitar at the beginning of "Sweet Child O' Mine". If sound problems don't piss off a performer, nothing will. 3. The audience. Although I thought they were pretty responsive considering the headbanging atmosphere, that simply was not Sheryl's type of crowd. I don't know about Alanis, but if she hasn't already played, I suggest Jewel play a short set and get the hell outta there! ;) I got the feeling that Sheryl was ready to bail about half way through her set and get back to playing in front of people that actually buy her albums. Regarding Andy Dick's performance right before Sheryl came on, it kinda brings a whole new meaning to his last name, eh? Also, I'm sure anyone that saw the Insane Clown Posse would agree that they have got to be the worst musical? group in the history of the world. Korn sounded good compared to those guys. Mainly its pirates of legitimate stuff that get some of our ire up, like MP3s of brand new single tracks and other stuff that is still legitimnately in print. But I digress. I agree with both of you, the list is for all things Sheryl, *and* there is a place for a seperate list specifically for bootlegs. It is not unknown for an artist to have multiple lists for multiple types of fans. In fact, there are several lists devoted to Sheryl already. There's plently of room for one on boots. Even if it does seem to get plugged just a tad too often, IMHO (like every time someone mentions the word "boot"). And I'm not saying that she changed lyrics to fit the situation, but rather just messed up a lot. Besides that though, I found this to be better than when I saw her in concert. I really thought she kicked some ass at Woodstock. Jackie ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V2 #261 *********************************
