They handed me one right away and said it was free. They didn't have TGS with SCOM on it yet, although I have seen it in Barnes and Noble but it was $18. Just thought I'd let you know. By the way, I am moving to New York in August and I don't know anyone at all. I am going to be attending NYU grad school and would love if any other Sheryl Crow fans would mind showing me around? Sheryl absolutely rocked!! It was the best I've ever seen her. She was dancing all over the stage like a mad woman. I've never seen her so lively. The music was excellent and her voice was at its best. A great show! VH1 was there too so maybe some footage will get on tv. The Biore' stand was giving away lilith cds. Here's what's on it: (no Sheryl) Mandy Barnett - "I've got a right to cry" Ben folds five - "mess" Collective Soul - "compliment" DJ rap - "good to be alive Macy Gray - "do something" Patty griffin - "blue sky" Kina - "girl from the gutter" Sinead Lohan - "whatever it takes" Luscious Jackson - "ladyfingers" Tara maclean - "dryland" Sarah Mclachlan - "adia" David mead - "breathe you in" Me'shell ndegeocello - "grace" Semisonic - "DND" Duncan sheik - "alibi" Cree Summer - "soul sister" Tekla - "somebody else" Alice temple - "whatever makes you weak" They also gave away free little programs that listed the performers and their stage times on the back. I don't think that any of you who are going will be disappointed in Sheryl's set! For those of you who might not be interested in the other performers the show I went to "started" at 6 and Sheryl wasn't on until almost 10. ** If anyone was at one of the shows at the gorge and happened to tape it could you let me know. I would love to have a copy -- we could trade or something. I was paying for my purchases at The Wherehouse, and saw the single at a distance, and asked how much it was. This guy was kinda dumbfounded, grabbed one, and said, "They're free. Here." He gave me one. Then one of the other gals, congratulated him on doing what they'd been told to do, to hand them out to customers. I'll be going back for another! I'm new to the list, and wanted to take this opportunity to say hi. I'll be seeing Sheryl in about 6 hours at LF today in Portland. Liz Phair, too! Crow plays a junkie in the TV movie "The Minus Man," which is set to air July 21 on UK's Sky Premier channel. "The Minus Man" follows a serial killer who chooses victims he believes want to die. Crow's character, Casper, is the first to face death at the hands of the demented killer. I'll be seeing Sheryl in about 6 hours at LF today in Portland. Liz Phair, too! >> Well dang Darren, had you spoken up sooner you could have met a real live Crew member in person! I was there too! I just got home from Lilith and of course before I can even wash the copious quantities of sweat off myself (very long day - general admission and we ended up with 5th row center seats through a combo of being there quite early and right place/right time serendipity, but I digress.... as usual...) I need to type out Sheryl's setlist which I hope is right: July 11, 1999 Portland, Oregon LF ACWDYG ABD MFM (Jeff Trott, who lives here, joined the band starting with this song) It Don't Hurt EDIAWR with Ash Sood, Sarah M's hub and drummer, on bongos The Difficult Kind (and yep Brooke, it almost always makes ME cry!) IIMYH (I believe this is the last song Jeff sat in on but I could be wrong) Squeeze Box with the members of Luscious Jackson accompanying. Don't know if they practiced beforehand but they did several amusing 1-2-3-4 "I Love Toyota" style jumps. Quite a crack up with like 8 people across the front of the stage jumping in unison. Strong Enough There Goes The Neighborhood. She seemed to be in a GREAT mood, like Erin said she was at the Gorge. Really goofy and smiling and laughing and having a blast. She is using her video projections and the 3 screens. Also, the music they are playing before her set is what she used prior to her concerts (get back to your seat when you hear Squeeze's "Tempted"). She wore a white tank top and brown leather pants and a silver necklace if anyone cares. When Luscious Jackson did their set (first on our main stage) Sheryl was at the side watching and singing along. If you aren't familiar with them they are fun - really funky. She was wearing orange baggy pants (almost like surgical scrubs) and her same white tank and no makeup and with her hair so short probably not many people noticed her. Anyway, she was taking lots of pictures and seemed to be having a lot of fun. Speaking of pix, I took a whole roll including a bunch at the end when they did the gigantic group sing. I'll scan any that come out decently. I was able to step out into the main aisle and take a bunch of pictures of Sheryl RIGHT in front of me when she first came out. Then the security Nazis made me return to my seat... pisser. And totally off but Liz Phair was GREAT!
