Like Home with piano, which seems to be a unanimous fave amg the American Crew... I like the fact that the UK releases of Sheryl's singles arent remixed, cos remixes are REALLY big in the UK, and a lot of singles released in the UK contain remixes (sometimes remixes only...ugh!). But Sheryl's singles have album versions of the title track, and live or new material. Good value for money. And you get it for only 2 quid in the UK, I'll get it for approx 5 quid :( Tom - why above No.19? YK, a lot of my non-fan friends are extremely impressed with Sheryl's cover of SCOM, so it may go down pretty well with the general public. I used to love GNR, and still think their version is great, but Sheryl's kicks ass too. harin owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org on 09/07/99 16:27:03 Please respond to sheryl-crew@smoe.org @ SMTP To: sheryl-crew@smoe.org @ SMTP cc: Subject: SCOM release hi, Sweet Child Of Mine WILL be released as a single in the UK this autumn so unlike our American friends we will have to pay for it NOT just get a free promo oh well.. lets hope this single gets above no.19 .TOM. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Jul 1999 05:54:52 EDT From: Sherylcrew@aol.com Subject: Re: SCOM release <> hi, i say above no.19 because her last two releases TGTN and ABD only got to no. 19 also i agree Sheryl's singles are great because they contain a few different songs rather than the typical: CLUB MIX, RADIO EDITION, SUPER DISCO MIX but i do hope it has ROCK and POP version on it bye .TOM. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 09 Jul 1999 11:28:04 +0100 From: Gareth Corsi Subject: Re: SCOM release I’m in agreement, Tom. In this country, we seem to be able to take a perfectly good track...and completely f*ck it up. What is wrong with this country?! OK, a radio edition — where a studio has got some spotty gimp on work experience to hack the intro, middle or end from a track — I can just about live with. But club mixes???? TGTN club and disco mixes???? Surely not. Please, it makes me shudder just to think someone like N-Trance has got its cheesy hands on it. The track stands up on its own as something great to dance to. I know that coz even I can do it and I’m like an epileptic octopus on the dancefloor — and that’s b4 I’ve started drinking. It's not that it's a promo that they aren't supposed to be giving out, but it was specially pressed by Interscope specifically to be given out when you buy TGS. So Wherehouse Music, and Media Play, etc aren't doing anything wrong at all. It is true that the promo is "not for sale", but that is because it is supposed to be given out for free.
