Dear all, Having been on line a couple of days I feel like I’ve jumped in right in the middle of something, so forgive me. Who cares about her hair? It’s short...er...different but she still looks great and she can still perform too. Granted I think she looks better with long hair but then I’m a long hair kinda guy. I saw TV clips of her performing with the Stones in London (I still can’t believe I had to flog my ticket coz I had to work — grief stricken is an understatement) and she looked fantastic! On the Special Edition CD I believe the only version is the one recorded at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Other national versions (e.g. Japan, Australia) seem to only differ by one song. I picked my copy up from a record store here on this l’il island about two years ago. It was actually the only version they had available as they didn’t have the original in stock. There was a time when you couldn’t go into a store without falling over a copy (a short-lived period of taste) but now they seem to be pretty rare and expensive too. Having said that, all music in this country is expensive — £16.50 for The Globe Sessions (that’s $26 to those of you in the States)! It takes the piss. But, if anyone is interested I’ll see if there are anymore on general release. Gotta go. Youre never far from home... G - Dm - Bb - C She definitely sneaks in an occasional sus2 on the Bb chord from time to time, usually on the last 2 beats before the C: string E A D G B E fret x 1 3 3 1 1 In between verses, its like the intro with an F on the D-string thrown in: string E A D G B E fret 3 2 0 0 0 3 fret 3 x 2 0 0 x fret 3 x 3 0 0 x The bridge (Id like to see the Riviera...) is one measure each of: Bb - C - F - G C - F - Am - Am Now if only I had a good friend with a little Wurlitzer electric piano. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jun 1999 13:51:26 -0400 From: mlucas@fund.bisys.com Subject: Re: the hair Sheryl's new look is not flattering. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jun 1999 14:47:36 EDT From: CoRkyGrrRl@aol.com Subject: Re: the hair I think her new do is cute:)<3nicole ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Jun 1999 15:13:54 -0400 From: Bill Phillips Subject: Re: sheryl-crew-digest V2 #218 This article may be of interest to some...it's about A&M records and a new lawsuit they have against Universal and Interscope. The 1st version of SCOM that I heard was the video version that I recorded off of MTV/VH1. I'll call this Pop #1. Then I heard the rock version on the internet/Real Player. Most of you know this version is heavier (more electric guitar) than Pop #1. Tuesday, I bought the "Big Daddy" soundtrack. This, I soon found out, is yet another version. I thought it was going to be the rock version, but it's basically the same as Pop #1, with two differences: 1. There is an electric guitar riff at the end of the intro that leads into the 1st verse. Pop #1 doesn't have this. 2. The violin solo between the 2nd chorus and the organ solo is cut in half. Here's what I would like to find out... Which is the 1st and original version *and* when is the rock version going to be released? On the new Globe Sessions pressings? Also, why did they cut the violin solo on the soundtrack CD? There's only one word I can use to describe it. Cute. Cute written all over it. It's a good movie still, very unlike Adam Sandler's other movies, he doesn't scream as much in this movie though. Ohki...you can hear Sheryl's song about 20 minutes before the movie is over. I'm not going to say what part cuz it's a biggie in the movie, would ruin it for everyone. Now one thing that I think is really cool is right when the credits started to roll, I heard the beginning of George Harrison's "What is Life." Love this song! I didn't get to hear it cuz it got cut off at my place. Ahhh..employee screening, they don't need to see the ending credits! I see it's not George's version on the soundtrack though. Does Shawn Mullins do a good cover? I hope so! Soo...check out the movie if ya like, really funny and cute. Nightie! I think they just stick any celebrity names they can think of in their codes so their sites would show up when someone does a search for a certain celebrity. Or are there really nude pics of sheryl? just thought i'd share this with y'all. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
