It was then that I heard Sheryl's "Anything But Down" was at #26 this week. Casey told the story about her piano lessons as a child. I guess her piano teacher said that because she could play by ear, she didn't need lessons... she could turn on the radio and learn from that. :-) Last week ABD was at #20. We were way lucky to get tickets at all! So we weren't as close as the day before, not anywhere near, but we got to see her again, can't complain. Sheryl 3 times in 4 days, ah ah aha, how cool. Anyway, take care everyone, David PS - Back safe and sound. God it's so hot in Portugal, uncomfortable hot. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jun 1999 22:55:22 EDT From: SCFANCLUB2@aol.com Subject: SCOM/TGS From LA Times: ADDED ATTRACTIONS: With Sheryl Crow's version of Guns 'N Roses' "Sweet Child o' Mine," which she did for the movie "Big Daddy," being added to new pressings of her "The Globe Sessions" album, it makes the thousands of CDs without the track sitting in stores and warehouses--not to mention the 1.5 million that fans have already bought--somewhat obsolete. Interscope Records is hoping to alleviate the problem by giving promotional CD singles of the song to retailers. Interscope head of marketing and sales Steve Berman says the idea is for people purchasing the old one without the song to get a free copy of the single (which will not be available commercially). Less certain is how fans who already own the album can get the song without having to buy either the new version of the album or the movie's soundtrack album, though Berman says that some retailers may elect to give copies of the single to earlier buyers while supplies last. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jun 1999 23:02:51 EDT From: Wallflwr95@aol.com Subject: Re: SCOM/TGS >>With Sheryl Crow's version of Guns 'N Roses' "Sweet Child o' Mine," which she did for the movie "Big Daddy," being added to new >>pressings of her "The Globe Sessions" album, it makes the thousands of CDs >>without the track sitting in stores and warehouses--not to mention the 1.5 million that fans have already bought--somewhat obsolete. When do you think the new TGS with SCOM will be out? I'll buy a few more copies of it with SCOM on it, gotta have her sell a ton of albums. ~mandy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jun 1999 23:20:10 EDT From: Pixiilust@aol.com Subject: Re: SCOM/TGS well wait a second if you have the one w/o SCOM on it & you want to get the single, - am I interpreting this correctly? - how do you get the swingle w/o paying for it? did I miss something here? stephanie ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jun 1999 20:52:32 PDT From: Clint Curry Subject: Re: SCOM/TGS I also don't understand what they're saying. So if you have the original US release "The Globe Sessions," you can get "Sweet Child O' Mine" for free? And how do you get the single? Also, is Sheryl on Interscope records now? First she was with A&M, then Polygram bought A&M, the Seagram's bought Polygram - is this correct? And if so, where does Interscope fit in? Is A&M currently her label? I wish A&M wouldn't have been bought by a larger company, it just screws things up!!! >From: Pixiilust@aol.com >Reply-To: sheryl-crew@smoe.org >To: sheryl-crew@smoe.org >Subject: Re: SCOM/TGS >Date: Sun, 13 Jun 1999 23:20:10 EDT > >well wait a second if you have the one w/o SCOM on it & you want to get the >single, - am I interpreting this correctly? - how do you get the swingle >w/o >paying for it? did I miss something here? > >stephanie _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Don't ask me why, but it REALLY sounds like her in parts and somewhat her style & I'm not sure which but it also sounds like a song of hers. - --Steve =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Get Your Own Free Pop or Web Based Email and a 10MB Web Site for FREE at: http://www.nettaxi.com! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Jun 1999 03:03:50 EDT From: SCrow816@aol.com Subject: OFF-yahoo messenger i just want to inform everyone that my aol and yahoo messenger name is SCrow816 so if the people who has either one of these wants to talk to me through it they can Sorry to bother everyone Shawn ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V2 #202 *********************************
