Yes, Sheryl should have done I Shall Believe on this tour! Isn't it one of her faves next to Home? My fave version of Home would have to be the piano version. I hated the album version till I heard it on Storytellers and see her perform it live about twenty feet away from me! As for Ordinary Morning, I played this song a million times, love it! I enjoy reading everyone's dream set list, I noticed I left out a few songs that are my faves. What we say? Sheryl has too many good songs! One thing I noticed...people have left out All I Wanna Do! O' Connor" Subject: Re: setlist (Ordinary Morning) I loved Ordinary morning, Superstar and Home all straight off the album. Just as another little curiosity, I have a friend who is very like the person in Superstar. I mentioned to a different friend of mine one day and he thought that I had lost it. He doesn't like Sheryl though. He took it a little too literally and thought I fancied the first friend or something, it all got very confusing! I personally like All I Wanna Do as well and I was sort of shocked when I watched a Sheryl interview and she said she hadn't meant it to be a woman and a man in the bar. I could picture her and William/Bill/Billy/Mac/Buddy in the bar and the bartender and the Bud labels and everything so clearly in my mind that I was just a little surprised when she said that. To a certain extent though what the artist means to be put across in a song isn't more important than what the listener takes out of the song. All of us here could not listen to any given song and take the same sort of things out of it. Different songs mean different things to different people. That's enough rambling I think for now. Louis ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Jun 1999 11:17:14 -0500 (EST) From: David Subject: Sheryl's a badass I was just looking at the wallofsound web page, and I ran across an article about how they are banning the Godsmack album after complaints of profane lyrics and satanic cover art. But the interesting part is the last sentence of the paragraph, where it mentions that other artists to be banned are Sheryl Crow (lyrics), Prodigy(lyrics), and Marylin Manson(entire package). I think it's funny that Sheryl's on the list with these people, and it makes her out to be edgier than the album actually is.
