Period. I still think she looks the best when she attended the World Music Awards(not too sure which year...anyone ?) to perform All I Wanna Do and accept an award for that song. She had long straight hair and was wearing this really smart black outfit. George Harrison of The Beatles presented the award to her if I'm not mistaken. Anybody else saw that show ? Cheers! Saw Sheryl last night in Detroit for the closing night of this tour and she was UP for it! The house was on their feet and screaming at full volume from the first note! A few things that were different were that she had a guest cellist (didn't catch the name, but he was a pro surfer she said) to accompany Ms. Ponce (sp?) on her violin. Made a nice sound on cuts like Riverwide, It Don't Hurt and others. Also the whole show was video taped for T.V.! This led to the strangest thing of all. At the end they did TGTN and went off and took forever to come back for an encore. Roadies were tearing the set down, but the house lights stayed off. I guess it was to make the whole thing more dramatic for the tv. Then Sheryl asked if we could hang later cuz she wanted to reshoot a couple of songs that didn't tape well and sing a few more, then she did Mississippi, and Home (which required another long wait for encore). At that point my wife and I left cuz it was after 11 and we had about a 2 hr drive home. As we left Sheryl started to re tape ABD and the stadium manager was going nuts as I walked past muttering something about a G.D. 4th encore and I clued him in on the retakes but I don't think he believed me. Sheryl had said they wanted to re tape a "couple" and would play a "couple" of new songs, so I figured she was going to try to do four more. If anyone else was there and stayed till the end I'd like to know what else she added besides the retakes. Like I said, I left during the first retake, ABD. Also if someone could send me that e mail address and name of the violinist that was posted earlier I'd appreciate it. I think her name is Alonza Ponce. This concert was so much better than the one I went to two years ago after the "Sheryl Crow" cd was released it was hard to believe. Also for what it's worth I thought that the image projections added to the overall artistic statement on most of the songs. Does anyone know if the pictures shown during "Home" are of Kennet? Peace & Love Dave B. i.brew2@telebot.net ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 May 1999 14:45:14 -0400 From: "Christina Clark" Subject: Floria Sigismondi Hey Crew, I was just watching MuchMoreMusic here in Canada, and a new video by Maxwell came on, it looks very very similar to the ABD video, so I thought hmmm, I wonder if this was made by Floria Sigismondi also, because I am not kidding when I say this , it is almost identical. So I went to the Floria Sigismondi site (which by the way is very interesting), and I went to the video section which has stills of her videos, and guess which vid was first? ABD!! I thought this was cool, if you want to check out the site go here www.floriasigismondi.com However there was no info on the Maxwell vid, so either the site hasn't been updated or it's a copycat director. HAs anyone seen it, sorry I don't remember the name of it. Christina ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 May 1999 15:19:28 EDT From: SCFANCLUB2@aol.com Subject: Re: final show Is it true that TGTN was also filmed with the intention of using it for the music video? That seems kind of dull to me, especially since they did the same thing with HTMAS. It'd be nice to see something a little more original, more along the lines of ABD. Oh well. That's just what I heard. Lisa p.s. Was anyone in LA listening to STAR 98.7 around 11:45am today, possibly trying to win tickets to Lilith Fair?? If so, tough luck, I won them!! =) Yep, that was my sexy (LOL) voice on the radio. Too cool, I'm so happy, I get to see Sheryl again and this time for FREE.
