Wow how could you sell that stuff????!! I would never in a million years do something like that, but I guess we're different...I wish I could have interviewed her :( So could you at least tell us something about the interview or does only the highest bidder get to know? Sorry but you got to do something that only some of us could ever dream about and it's kind of annoying that you would profit off of it. Ha what's up with the disney spam? I got it 7 times already :) LOL like bill gates really would just give people free $ and disney vacations, I wish... One more thing, I think that maybe the person who wrote the personal message to Tom to the whole list that was kinda mean. He's new so of course he's going to ask questions, some may be annoying to people but just delete them then. Or at least mail him privately, I know i would be hurt if other people had aol and icq conversations about how annoying I was. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Apr 1999 23:57:11 -0400 From: "F. When, however, you make the statement that capitalism (which, by the way, I am a fervert supporter of) is generosity, then you go too far. Why didn't you just list it at ebay, and sell it there? There is a place for that sort of stuff, and this list isn't it. And, to stick up for every last member of the list whom you impuned with your jealousy remark, I'll have you know that our reaction had nothing to do with "jealousy" and everything to do with a sense of recognizing a place for everything, and the difference between generosity and cold hard cash seeking. Please don't say we're jealous, because you, at best, used an offensive choice of words. Please, sell it at ebay, not on the Crew. It is simply not the place to show your "generosity". I know I selfishly Yes, I am. I do not illegally tape her concerts nor buy bootlegs of them. A real fan would not buy something with the knowledge that it is, in fact, robbing Sheryl. A bootleg is precisely that; a method of robbing a singer. If you don't buy or even listen to bootlegs, great, but if you do, don't tell me about what a true fan is. I still remember being in high school looking at old yearbooks from the late '70's and early '80's and grinning ear to ear that she was one of us. Perhaps I come from a different background, but I do know what it means to be loyal. I could take any one of you into Kennett and lead you to Sheryl's home. Would I charge? No, because there are greater thingsin life. If you truly knew the depth of my Sheryl memorabilia, you'd understand why i am thinning it out a bit. I collect other stars' stuff, too. If i offended this list, I do apologize, but no one has the right to sit in judgement. - --Michael ****************************************************************************** "...And I hear them saying 'You'll never change things, And no matter what you do it's still the same thing.' Robbing Sheryl? I think not. I have two copies of every album, both original and tour editions (3 of TNMC actually, cos I thought the limited US version was different from the one I have but it turned out to be the same. But its just as well I didnt sell one cos the other wore out...) I have all the singles I can get my hands on, both locally and overseas. Which is almost all of them. Now if I could only get WICDFY, for the original copy of Dyer Maker, which I dont have legally yet .... I have the official video, several T-shirts, and on the way soon, another T-shirt and a tour programme. Yes, I do have bootlegs, but how is this robbing Sheryl when she has nothing available on the market to counter these unofficial releases? If Polygram releases official versions of these bootlegs I have, I'll get them, believe me, despite already having the boots. BTW, Sheryl autographed one of my boots.... And if you were referring to my earlier e-mail on recording concerts, well, I did mention there that I didnt record the concert then cos I didnt think of it. But I would now. If I do, you can be sure of one thing, though - I woudlnt be sellling copies (or the original!!!) for profit. They would be for me, and fans, probably on this list, who I would have told about the recording. So pls dont tell me I'm robbing Sheryl. I did fly all the way to Tokyo to see her in concert 3 nights out of the four I was there, practically wiping out my savings at the time. harin owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org on 29/04/99 12:15:59 Please respond to sheryl-crew@smoe.org @ SMTP Yes, I am.
