[domf@excite.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 06 Apr 1999 00:21:49 -0700 From: Chris Ketchum Subject: Sheryl in Hollywood (Round 3) Here is the setlist from Sunday nights show at the Pantages Theater (also the same as Saturday nights show) - Maybe That's Something, My Favorite Mistake, A Change, Leaving Las Vegas, Anything But Down, It Don't Hurt, (Band intros), Riverwide, If It Makes You Happy, Everyday Is A Winding Road, Am I Getting Through Pt. I & II, The Difficult Kind, Redemption Day, I'll I Wanna Do, There Goes The Neighborhood. Encore: Strong Enough, Mississippi 2nd encore: Home The difference between these sets and Fridays set was that she removed "Members Only" :( and replaced "Sweet Rosalyn" with "Redemption Day". She also moved EIAWR from the encore to the regular set. Clearing out the notebook from the big 3 day weekend: I liked Friday nights set list the best (Members Only, Sweet Rosalyn). At Saturdays show only, there was a young lady off to the side of the stage signing the songs for (one or more?) hearing impaired members of the audience. Sheryl ended AIWD every night by saying, "All I wanna do is get laid". The addition of the string section is fantastic, especially on "Am I Getting Through", "Riverwide" and "Home". I mentioned the video screens before, but the lighting is equally spectacular. The last two nights, Sheryl spoke briefly about her trip to Bosnia, the landmine situation and the fact that Bill Clinton not only refuses to participate in a ban on landmines, but has recently signed a bill to make more of them! She urged everyone to "Know who you are voting for". On sale in the lobby: T-shirts (3 styles) - $25, program (very nice) - $15, poster - $10, coffee cup - $12, Keychain - $10, sticker - $10, hat - don't remember the exact price, probably $15. Thanks to Sheryl and the band for a weekend of great music. She kicked my ass and it felt great!
