It's probably my fav. song off the album!!! :0) I liked it even before I heard it! Before the album came out, I was reading an article, and Sheryl described it as being about "There are those people you love, but everytime you talk to them they bring you down, and you can't figure out why you care." I just thought that was brilliant~!!!! THat's what made me LOVE that song! :0) ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. There are more, which i cant remember at the moment. By the way, in Ordinary Morning, when the lyrics read "..i turn around In Only sleeping, John, is anybody there"? I have to disagree with some people though, of course the beatles had a general influence on rock as a art form but i think directly, the beatles influenced Sheryl's music style and even her recording style (double tracking the vocals). On everyone one of her albums, there is defenitely part of teh beatles evident in sheryls music, more than just the general influence found throughout music. But she'll be alleviating that this summer, when Crow joins the final Lilith outing for its entire summer run. "[McLachlan] has been very smart about it," says Crow, who's currently in the midst of her own headlining tour. "She kind of calculated the shelf life of something like this and determined it could only last three or four years before it went sour. People are still excited about it, so it'll be nice to go out and play for that kind of audience." Crow was slated to play a few dates during last year's Lilith tour but had to cancel because she was working on her latest album, The Globe Sessions, and didn't have a band together at the time. "You really don't want to just go out and throw something together for those gigs," Crow explains. "Sarah was amazingly understanding. She said, 'You just have to take care of yourself. You can't let the career run you.' Also, she said, 'There are only 1,000 other girls waiting for someone to drop out.'" Lilith is just one of a number of projects Crow has going for the remainder of the years. She's co-producing Stevie Nicks' next album, with four songs completed and more work slated for May and June. The two musicians are talking about going on tour together later in the summer, and Crow is also contemplating some solo acoustic dates as well. Meanwhile, an announcement is expected soon on the rest of the Lilith lineup as well as its schedule. Alanis Morissette, Lauryn Hill, and the Indigo Girls are all rumored to be playing some dates on this year's outing, though former Lilithite Jewel will be doing her own tour. =============================================================== shad 96c / 3A CS / mac activist / eda / fumbler fan of / jewel / sophie b. / sarah slean / steve poltz / emm gryner / / x-files / buffy / dawson's creek / habs / bills / 49ers / t h i n k d i f f e r e n t. Here's some guick thoughts/memories: I saw Scout before the show taking an evening stroll around the stage door area (he wasn't signing autographs) and Sheryl's black Jeep that Lisa had described. Sheryl hit the stage with a glass of wine in her hand, telling us later on that she had been a bit nervous on Friday night being that it was L.A. and all. From the front of the stage she danced a little with a guy in the first row who had been up dancin' right from the first note. Some other guy jumped up on stage in the middle of a song and proceeded to jump around with his hands in the air. This startled Sheryl and the guy was promptly removed. She did change the set list as expected. They played EDIAWR after IIMYH, instead of during the encore. They also played Redemption Day. At one point during the show, she turned her back to the crowd and showed us how to "shake our asses". Very cute and she was wearing very tight jeans! After the show I hung out with a bunch of other people at the stage door area and caught a glimpse of Sheryl leaving in her jeep. Off to round 3...
