Here's what it says: "Sheryl Crow spent years as a backup singer for Don Henley, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, and Michael Jackson before finally getting a shot at her own album in 1993. "Tuesday Night Music Club" went platinum—repeatedly. Bluesy pop hits like "Leaving Las Vegas" and "All I Wanna Do" became Top-40 inescapable. Her latest,"The Globe Sessions," are overly familiar—just like everything Crow has ever done. Do you really want to drop 30 bucks to hear live versions of your car radio?—Kerry Burke" Sheryl Crow; Semisonic - New York City, CitySearch http://www.metrobeat.com/E/E/NYCNY/0013/31/31/cs1.html I just found it ironic that they're using a negative review of Sheryl to promote her shows at the theater. My reply to the negative promotion is.. we cant win either way. If Sheryl did something totally different for Globe Sessions, someone would be complaining about how different she is or something to that extent. & personally I dont think that Globe Sessions was unoriginal in any way! I love it! I've been through this many times and figured the best way to deal with this is to ignore everything and not let it get to you personally. Just shut the book and get on with your life. I hope this didn't come out as mean or anything, cuz I didn't intend it to be. On my trip out of town, I was able to check out a CD Warehouse and was kinda disappointed to see so many copies of SC cds. I talked to the sales clerk about it and his response was: "Those are cds from people who go out to get the cds after they hear a particular song they like." Kinda sad for me I think cuz you have to let an album grow on you. Anyhoo, a few questions for everyone: 1) Does anyone think Crash and Burn would be a good song for Sheryl to perform at the concerts? It's been growing on me lately. 2) What's Peter's last name? Just curious cuz I'd like to get my picture with him up on my site ASAP, but would like to have his last name too. The picture came out really good!
