My mother wakes me up practically at the crack of dawn on the day of my concert to tell me to get ready right away. Of course, I do so and she takes me to some Little League baseball game. I'm wondering why in the world I was at some Little League baseball game and keep asking my mom, she tells me there's some surprise afterwards. What? A special performance by Sheryl on the baseball diamond! *raises eyebrow* Ohk, so some of the crowd went to the diamond, mostly young children, and we sat on the grassy area. Sheryl was great of course and kept asking for requests for what songs she'd sing, I was the one who kept blurting them out. hehe Then out of nowhere, Sheryl blurts out about showing off our belly buttons, I cracked up and go to wipe off some sweat on my head. With Sheryl seeing this, she goes to hug me and says, "Oh honey, don't cry." hehe...I all of a sudden burst out in to a huge laugh and explained to her that I wasn't crying, I was wiping off some sweat cuz it was so damn hot outside! Well, the little performance was over and everyone gets Sheryl's autograph. I was about to leave, but she asked me to stay for some reason. Turned out that she recognized me from the birthday book and knew I was the only true fan there cuz I was requesting all of the songs. Anyhoo...we must have talked for about a half an hour or so and how does this end? She invites me and my mother over to dinner that night and gives me backstage passes! sigh.....good dream huh? Oh well..... four more days till my Sheryl concert! woo hoo! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Katie ();) The mind is the best instrument to play. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Mar 1999 19:29:58 -0000 From: "Tim Wheatley" Subject: Re: Virus Warning !! :o) Well Said. tim - -----Original Message----- From: Breton24@aol.com To: sheryl-crew@smoe.org Date: Monday, March 15, 1999 11:47 AM Subject: Re: Virus Warning !! >Hey Crew, > >Well, one good warning deserves another: > > >*************************************************** >WARNING, CAUTION, DANGER, AND BEWARE! >Gullibility Virus Spreading over the Internet! >*************************************************** > >WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Institute for the Investigation of Irregular Internet >Phenomena announced today that many Internet users are becoming infected by a >new virus that causes them to believe without question every groundless story, >legend, and dire warning that shows up in their inbox or on their browser. Thank you Tajuki for your House of Blues review. I'm looking forward to hearing from the Floridians after her shows there. Do we have people on this list going to each of her shows? Is anyone else attending Oakland next month? Also, any rumors about summer tour dates yet? I'm going to think very positively that if she is going to come to the NW U.S. it won't be while I'm off on vacation or on the night of my high school reunion or on the same weekend as my sister's wedding... Otherwise, I'm pretty sure it's illegal. But here's my view on mp3s. I don't think it's very fair to make us pay $15.00 for a CD that only has one song on it that we want (a soundtrack). Also, we all want to hear unreleased songs, or songs we can't get on CD (foreign CDs & singles), so mp3s are about the only way we can hear these songs. If Sheryl Crow herself would put together a CD that had B-sides, rare songs, unreleased songs, and every other song she recorded, I'd be more than happy to delete all my mp3s and buy that cd. until then, i'll be searching for more Sheryl Crow mp3s. Does anyone agree with this? Ross ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V2 #40 ********************************
