WANTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER (The actual AP headline) Linda Burnett, 23, was visiting her inlaws, and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries. Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head. One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda's eyes were now open, and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she'd been shot in the back of the head, and had been holding her brains in for over an hour. The man called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to remove her hands from her head. When they finally got in, they found that Linda had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head. A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered and tried to hold her brains in for over an hour until someone noticed and came to her aid. And, yes, Linda is a blonde. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Mar 1999 13:18:43 -0000 From: "Olly Sanders" Subject: In Need Hi everyone, I'm new to the list. Okay... I'm not trying to pick on anyone, but if you read the List Rules when you signed up (or were resigned up) for the list, you would know that Fwd's of jokes and such aren't allowed, even if you post it with "OFF" (although, Lisa might help me by confirming this) because it could in fact offend people on the list. I'm not offended, just trying to help keep things in some kinda order. As I said, Lisa may wanna confirm this, but OFF msgs should at least have *something* to do with the people on the list: music, female musicians, awards, opening acts, tickets, and such.. but not jokes or forwards that could offend someone or that would clutter someone's mail. I scored tickets to Sheryl's show at the Palace on May 8'th through a "Premium Seat" service, and got 11th row on the floor in front of the stage! Pretty happy because the only other time I saw her was about 50 rows back. Anyone from the crew planning on being there? Wouldn't mind meeting you before or after the show. Anyone know a way to get invited to meet her in person before or after the show? Does she have any corporate sponsors who might get a soul in the door? But here I am =) Ok, I have to tell my sad story of heart break and the state ruin that it has left me in. First of all... "Family Problems" ie. Fighting, arguing, screaming, and crying, and the fact that my step dad is the world's biggest ass hole for turning off the tv at which I was recording the Grammys and then not allowing me to watch them while he went in the other room and watched Sheryl and turned it up so I would know that he was watching her and keeping me from doing so.. =*( Ok..I rambled but that is just cruel. I had been waiting to see Sheryl on there for months and not at all surprisingly I miss it. THen I find out that my Muse will be in concert in Blacksburg, Va (4 hrs. from my house) but I can't go. Ok, I have been waiting to see Sheryl live my entire life! I have only seen her at Lilith and that wasn't even a full Sheryl show. THe fact that I can't see her live does not come as anything new to me. my life is always just one disappointment after another. I have been in tears for a week now.. just moping around.. not speaking.. barely breathing. I would do anything and everything to see Sheryl!! Can anyone help me? My dream is to meet her .. but that will never happen in my life.. so the closet thing is to see her live.. =*( Please somebody help me.. LuV a very sad girl...
