Like where the backstage door is and if security is going to be tight. Jason Rhoden" Subject: Re: mp3's I'm not really into bursting people's bubbles, but "D'yer Mak'er" and "Solitaire" ARE unauthorized mp3s from albums. "D'yer Mak'er" was released on the "Encomium: A Tribute To Led Zeppelin" various artists CD, and "Solitaire" is on "If I Were A Carpenter" (another various artists CD). Not that I have any problem with unauthorized mp3s, just that if you don't believe in them, then I thought you would want to know. Also, the correct terminology is "pirate" MP3s from albums. "Bootleg" means that it has never been issued before. It's a very subtle distinction that the US copyright busters don't want people to see. "Pirate" stuff is much more harmful to the sales of the artist, as it actually presents material that the label has for sale. Copyright cops usually bust harmless bootleggers, and then say in court that they were destroying the artists sales (which is utter nonsense). Anyhoo, if you want to see what is or is not bootleg (insert shameless plug here) you could take a look at my Sheryl Crow page ( a link to which is at http://www.jasonrh.com/ ) which lists legitimate releases, interesting bottleg tracks, and other stuff like that. As for MP3s, do a search for "Sheryl Crow mp3" or "Sheryl Crow sounds" on a few search engines, and see what pops up. I know there were a few sites with rarer tracks on mp3 a while ago, but I dunno if they are still there.
