[Brooke James ] RE: [sheryl-crew] weird Sheryl dream ["Lee Israel" Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] acoustic guitar Yes, there will be a Sheryl´s guitar for us, The guitars will be replicas of Crow's prized Gibson "Country And Western" guitar, one of Crow's favorite instruments and used extensively by her not only on stage, but for songwriting and recording. That´s what they said in the bibson´s page, they create a number of guitars like sheryl´s one, I don´t know how many guitars will they make, the only thing I know is the approximate price they send me, Suggested retail will be $2,699.00 When I get news i´ll told you, Bye, ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Nov 1999 08:51:29 EST From: HILARYL123@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] off : beth hart Hey everyone - Okay , here's some shameless promotion of one of the artists that I work with , Beth Hart . I thought she might appeal to some of you . The latest single , L.A. Song, is really taking off in L.A. , Boston, and a few other markets. I think the video is still in light rotation on VH1. She's currently doing a Hard Rock Live tour (sponsored by the same folks that did Sheryl's Central Park gig . . . American Express Blue ) of Hard Rock cafes and is going to be opening for Ratdog for a couple of November dates. The album, Screamin' For My Supper, is honestly one of my favorite releases of the year . Totally rocked out with a hint of blues thrown in . She's also amazing live. Anyone else heard it yet ? Just thought I'd pass that along. :-) Hilary - --------------------------------------------------- Hilary Langford CMR Atlantic Records ph: (804) 593-6197 fx: (804) 763-4596 - ---------------------------------------------------- Atlantic Records In Richmond E-list: atrecrichmond@onelist.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 05 Nov 1999 15:57:15 +0100 From: Brigitte & Michael Subject: [sheryl-crew] Rolling Stone Bridge School review Well here's what they had to say about Sheryl: In the anti-climax of the evening, rhinestone-cowgirl-fashioned Sheryl Crow took the stage with her minimalist band. She delivered the hits -- from "Leaving Las Vegas" to "Strong Enough" -- but she could've saved the excessive chat about her love life for a session with her therapist. I also have a few more things (pics/links) at http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/tour99.html Todd Wolfe, Sheryl's lead guitar player from 1993-1998, has his own website at www.toddwolfe.com Lorenza Ponce does as well at lorenzaponce.com As for Sheryl's old band ("Sheryl Crow" era), I did a few member profiles on them back in 1997 for my SC newsletters. You can check them out on the net: Todd Wolfe -- http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/news11.html#Todd Wolfe Scott Bryan -- http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/news12.html#Scott Bryan Jeff Trott -- http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/news13.html#Jeff Trott Tim Smith -- http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/news14.html#Tim Smith Jim Bogios -- http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/news15.html#Jim Bogios As for the other two members of Sheryl's "original" band ("TNMC" era -- Todd and Scott included), you can go to http://www-scf.usc.edu/~cmejia/news17.html and scroll down to "Where are they now?" All I had to do then was pay at a bank and leave it in to the consulate in Belfast with my passport, picking it up about a week later. Not much help really is it. I think you can do it by mail though if you get the forms. You could try a travel agent for teh forms but I'm not sure if they would have them or not. She could have been filming it while you were sleeping. Maybe you have a psychic connection to her. I want one too :-( Lee - -----Original Message----- From: owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org [mailto:owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Christina Clark Sent: 05 November 1999 02:39 To: mailing list Subject: [sheryl-crew] weird Sheryl dream I have to tell of a really weird dream I had last night. I normally don't dream about Sheryl, I have had about 2....I am not an avid dreamer. But anyways, I had a dream that I was flipping through the stations on TV, and I saw TDK video! But it was a weird video, very un-Sheryl like. It was very very colourful, very un-TDK! Think of This Kiss by Faith Hill, Sheryl was in an angel-type outfit, in blue, minus the halo (for those of you who own Dixie Chicks "FLy" it was like the blue outfit Natalie is wearing on the inside of the booklet), she had little wings and all. She was doing a kind of circus act, in circuses those people who hand from a rope and spin around and stuff, it's very graceful, and can be very beautiful, and it definately was, she was really good. Anyways, in the dream, I was so freaked out, knowing I was like the first person in the world to see this video, don't ask me why if it was on public tv! But the first thing I did was get on the net and tell you guys!!! How funny is that? In my dreams I think of the Crew?? lol, such loyalty! I wonder why a dreamt of such a weird video? It was very adorable, she looked so cute, a little short haired blue angel. How weird was that? Am I the only one with far out dreams like that? What an odd video choice for TDK! Hmmm, I gotta try and figure that one out, anyone wanna hazzard any guesses? good luck!! lol! This is going to sound weird, but I'd like to have a video of every moment of Sheryl's life - well, sort of Before you dismiss me as a psychopath 0:-) I want to explain my reasons. You know when you are kind of daydreaming and thinking of stupid things, for example when you're waiting for a bus on your own or something, and you think stuff like what if I was invisible or the world stopped and I was the only one left. Anyway, I was thinking: What if I had a video of every moment of Sheryl's life through her eyes? What would I watch and what would I fast forward through? I guess I'm coming through as some voyeuristic weirdo but it was just a thought I thought I'd share. I'd like to see her playing live and writing songs. Anyway before I get into this too deep I'll go! If I could spend a week with Sheryl??!?!?!? This is going to sound lame, but If I could spend a week with her, I would want to spend a week in the recording studio with her, I would want to be an observer and that's it. I would want to watch her at work, producing, recording, writing, composing, working with her band, the works! Then at night I would want to be backstage at her concerts seeing how she prepares...then of course I have to have front row seats! I really want to see how she is at work! The Toronto Lilith goers got a little hint of that on the Saturday show, because they were having sound diffuculties and she said "talk among yourselves for a moment, while we straighten this out" and she was like talking all music lingo, everybody was blabbing away in the audience, and I was mesmerized. I chicks were out on stage and Sheryl was like" I want a little more banjo", then Emily would play...then she'd be telling them in music terms I don't know, to turn it up a little more, then she moved on the the guitars then fiddle, she was totally in charge, It was awesome, I felt like I was at a sound check! I was really neat seeing her move around the stage working everything out! So to get a week of that, with some concerts in between would be heaven for me.
