Et tournoie, Et tournoie! (2:5080/138) Sheryl says on a concert (the Trinity Church sessions) before she starts The Difficult Kind (or "It Don't Hurt" I don't remember), this song is about getting over somebody and doing things to make that happen (or something like that) like cutting your hair. I like her hair this way, it's fresh, trendy and hip. Too bad she didn't do it before she made the cover of TGS, cause now there are 3 cd's on which Sheryl looks practically the same (the self-titled and TGS even are very hard to keep apart). On GMA, it looks like she's wearing a brown one...I wonder if she chose them according to their "meanings:" is she trying to "banish negativity" or does she just like black beads? (In last week's People (how thin is too thin cover), there's a pic of Janeane G. and she's wearing green, red and black bead bracelets.) Eric Clapton in Central Park: Are there any lip-readers out there who caught what Sheryl said to him after White Room? They looked pretty cozy!! (As opposed to when Keith Richards put his arm on her shoulder during Happy, and she kind of backed away.) Also, I know they're just guitar chords he's playing, but I've never seen a guitarist appear to be giving the audience the finger throughout the entire song the way Clapton does!! (LOL, but check it out.) Or have I just watched this tape too many times? (LOL) Gotta go see if I can find Michelle in that crowd of Grannies!! Today I saw Sheryl at Tokyo Kokusai Forum. This was the second day for me. The venue holds 6000 to 7000 and it was full. We had a bunch of foreign residents (or maybe visitors) on the second floor, who were very excited and were doing waves continuously even before the show began. And they pretty much helped ignite the other audience and Sheryl too. For strings, we had a male(very tall with glasses) and a female(who looks like Joan Osborne) in place of Lorenza. Anyone know their names? Here's the setlist: Maybe That's Something A Change Leaving Las Vegas My Favorite Mistake Anything But Down It Don't Hurt Riverwide Sweet Child O' Mine If It Makes You Happy Am I Getting Through Everyday is a Winding Road The Difficult Kind All I Wanna Do There Goes the Neighborhood (En Core1) Strong Enough Mississippi (En Core 2) Home Sheryl really rocked today and the audience's reaction was great. The mixing was not so great and I was at 6th raw, right in front of the left speaker, but I could hear her voice well. She sometimes tried to speak strange Japanese sentences but it did not ruin the atomosphere :) As always It Don't Hurt live was FABULOUS and I was really glad to hear SCOM live and Home what I expected and could not hear last night. She did give us lots of shouts which we could not hear that much yesterday, most notably in If It Makes You Happy and Am I getting Through Part II(she did five choruses). She moved around in Everyday is A Winding Road without guitar and gave fans much eye contact with smile, which made me very happy :) She had many smiles and seemed content with the audience. She even said "You're a very good dancing audience" after IIMYH. She often thanked us saying "A-ri-ga-tou"(meaning thank-you in Japanese), which made us feel even better. All in all, it was a great and very impressive experience. Two more to go. Takuji PS Sheryl's performance in Osaka was aired twice today at a FM station. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Oct 1999 16:55:02 EDT From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] OT: earthquake I heard about the quake last night, and I just wanted to make sure that everything is ok with some of our Southwestern Crew members..Damn it had to be strong if they could feel it in Vegas..... - --------------------------------------- We've got loud guitars and quiet suspicions, great big guns and small ambitions, and we still argue over who is God............. - -Sheryl Crow, Hard to Make a Stand Sheryl Crow: IMYH ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Oct 1999 14:06:54 -0700 From: "Gregg Dempsey" Subject: [sheryl-crew] OT: earthquake Here in Las Vegas, we got about 20 seconds of good rumble about 2:50 am, followed by aftershocks at 3 am, 6 am, and about 9:30. Fun stuff. When the first one happened, I got up and walked around, and listened to my house groan. I said, hold together, baby. All my Sheryl CDs are in good shape. Whew (just kidding!) Walking down the street yesterday I heard something that sounded like "All I Wanna Do" coming out of a store, but it was a dance mix version, all drums and synthesizers, and it really didn't sound like Sheryl singing. Very strange. Has anyone else heard this? Is it a Sheryl remix, or somebody else? ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Oct 1999 20:38:50 -0500 From: "d i v i d i n g c a n a a n" Subject: [sheryl-crew] AIWD Dance Mix(?) & SESSIONS quick reminder: sessions shows tonight in dallas, and i dunno where else about the mix, once i heard a techno/weird version of AIWD but it didn't have many lyrics. it was very dancy, and it kept repeating "this ain't no disco..this ain't no country club either...this is la!" and then music, and it'd repeat. it was good, but it was like 6 minutes long and that gets sorta boring. they didn't say if it was an official mix anthonY:) "If you haven't swallowed it, smoked it, or licked it you suck!" - -tori amos- september 29, 1999 at Starplex in Dallas ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Oct 1999 19:15:00 -0700 From: "Ash Epperson" Subject: [sheryl-crew] All I Wanna Do Remix Hello Crew- A local radio station in Little Rock called Alice 107.7 has a thing on Saturday nights called Club Alice where they remix songs.
